You've talked so much about CYO foundation that I finally decided to order it today from Walgreens. I just learned CYO is an experimental makeup company from Boots geared toward inspiring makeup creativity in young people. I used to have a Boots Botanics dewy foundation that I loved, which was discontinued, so I'm even more excited to try this! :)

I have giant pores as well as some pitting from mild acne...and that Revlon Photoready primer is THE SHIT. I knew I was into something good when I put it on my fingers so see what kind of texture I was dealing with and I could not see the lines of my fingerprints anymore. I'm not even exaggerating. The tint makes it a nice choice for no makeup days too. Hands down some of the best money EVER spent.

ѕнαмєlєѕѕ Cнιкα hii, I know this is an old comment but I just wanted to chime in, I use paula’s choice salicylic acid exfoliant and it really works great for those tiny bumps! Any chemical exfoliant would, doesn’t have to be that brand. Would recommend building up your use of it though, let your skin get used to it. Like, don’t use it every night straight away, maybe start with once and week.

I have a great suggestion for traditional lipstick bullets. Flower Beauty has a wonderful lipstick formula that feels very high end and the color range is great. Tons of nude shades plus bolder, darker shades. It's by far my favorite traditional lipstick from the drugstore. I highly suggest them to anyone who doesn't want to fuss with liquid lipstick but wants a little more than a gloss or tinted lip balm. They are so good!

Now that you've given us all a starter kit of what to buy, how about a video for beginners on exactly how to apply these products? For example, I can never use a bronzer without it looking like I just have a dirty face. I am sure there's some secret in how to apply it. Another thing, how do you create the "outer V"? I just don't seem to have enough of an eyelid to do that. Why do beauty gurus make a "V" under their eye with concealer? I have tried that and looked like a clown, but you all look beautiful. I must be doing something wrong. Where exactly do you place highlighter? I always seem to get it mashed into my blush. Anyway, stuff like that. Maybe you have already done a video like this and I just haven't seen it yet.

Whenever you see videos apply about half the amount that they use. They have to use a lot more so it’ll show up on camera but in person it most likely looks cakey. So use a light hand in specific places and it’ll go a lot easier. For bronzer I recommend maybe dusting off the brush before applying so you don’t apply as much product :)

For concealer apply tiny dots in the dark area and a trick is to apply it where the undereye and cheek meet right at that little line to create the illusion that there is no darkness!!!

For bronzer you want to make sure your foundation is set with translucent/foundation powder before you apply any other powers on top. Use a large brush and just lightly sweep in the areas you want to bronze (you can google the chart of where to highlight and bronze/contour for your face shape) definitely don’t bring the bronzer too far down your cheeks to your lips. Also the “V” for concealer is because if you just put concealer on the circle it will make the circles more noticeable so you need to bring it down a bit, just not too far down either. Like I stated it’s probably best to google a face chart to get an idea of where to apply.

I'm pretty sure MUA isn't available here anymore 😢 I went to CVS to get the contour palette a few months ago. All MUA was up to 70% off but unfortunately it was wiped out. Love the video! The Revlon pore filling primer is literally the best pore filling primer I’ve ever used! Whether it’s drug store vs high end. I have very large pores on my nose & cheek area. The revlon primer fills in the pores so nicely and smooths the skin! Every foundation I’ve used goes over it seamlessly. All of the pore filling primers I have tried have been high end (benefit porefessional, smashbox pore filling primer, & Dr Brandt pore filling primer) and the revlon one is hands down way better. I just picked up the Ultra brow gel based on Thataylaa's recommendation- exactly what I was looking for. Brush it on with the spoolie for just a little definition, or go in after with a brow brush to paint in a more defined bold brow.

I finally was able to get the CYO foundation, and I'm so obsessed! I have oily skin, and it works very well for me. It's my absolute favorite foundation from the drugstore (maybe even favorite ever..)!

The Milani liquid eyeliner is also amazing. The one with the gold cap. If you don't use an oil to take it off it will literally last days on your eyes. My friend who is a dancer uses it!
