Is 50mg Trazodone just for sleeping? The doctor gave it to me, but I'm not feeling sleepy, and I feel sedated and have a bit of a headache. Does anyone who uses it have this happen too?

I’ve tried so many medication‘s that I’m losing hope. The one I’m on now is Wellbutrin and I’m losing all my hair. I’ve been depressed. I’m really afraid to try anything else and I’m starting to think there’s just no hope. I am bipolar type ll

Oh 😧 that’s sad. Wish you so much health and better situation in your life. That’s terrible that so many medications have the side effects like in your situation with your hairs for example. Unbelievable, really unbelievable. This would somebody thinking when hear that somebody take medication against cancer in type of chemo therapy but not against depressions or other… 😢 wish you best in your life. I felt the same if not worse just 2 weeks ago no antidepressant worked for me. I found a ketamine clinic and started getting infusions tomorrow will be #6. its helped me out immensely so far and I hope it continues. as of now I highly recommend ketamine infusions. it took a few infusions before I started to feel better.

So Im not the only one. I was put on 25mg for sleep. All went well for a week then I started having voluntary erections 4 to 12 times a day for 30 minutes to 2 hours each time. Crazy!

Yeah it increases it may sound good but it can lead to priapismus which means ur penis is erected full time its very painful

Yeah it increases your libido but this may sound good but trazodon can also cause a disease called priapsm which means that your penis is swollen all day long and its very painful

Yes, it lowered mine. Thank God I decided to stop taking it, I feel so much more better without it, I gained 70 pounds on it and it made me feel tired 24/7🥴

@@Faithandjessehow did you go about getting off of it. I was on 50mg and then I went to 25mg. Made my body huuurt bad. Did not feel good at all so I’m doing 25mg plus 12.5mg to ease off it slower. Any advice would be appreciated

@@kevinherron6051 I just quit cold turkey on my own because I got tried of taking it, the first week was HELL because of the withdrawals, but I'm fine now. I really don't have any advice, sorry.

I'd advise males not to use this Priapism - look it up. Happened to me, and it was the worst experience of my life. The experience made me avoid all medication to this day.

@@pablohoneylove It's a low chance of happening, but at least you're aware of the possibility so you can get it treated quickly if you get an erection from it that won't go away. Let's hope not, good luck.

@beatleme2 wow I'm really sorry to hear that, I really hope you're doing okay, for me the meds made me sleepy but they also made my heart beat pretty fast so I ended up having trouble falling asleep, but there were no awful side effects. however if it's legal for you I really recommend cannabis since it works perfectly for sleep for most people and it also does a really good job for stress relief.

@@beatleme2 So sorry to hear that man, I'd avoid taking this if possible but I completely understand the need. I also second what @pablohoneylove said above about cannabis. I've found nothing that helps me sleep better than cannabis. Hoping you find a solution. Good luck man.
