I remember when at the end of CD's people dedicated the album to God or at least had a song at the end with God in it. I miss the 90's so much it makes me want to cry. I was never bored and times were so good.

whats your point? Funk music is almost nothing but synthesizers and it still has a lot of soul. besides my point wasn't that there weren't black pop singers or mainstream artist. my point is that if you name the top 5 black singers from the 90s or earlier and compare them two the top 5 black singers today you'll notice that todays artist are not really making soulful music, they are making pop music which, although catchy and entertaining, is by definition, soulless.

WOW, I never knew that his father died either. My Grandfather was like my Father to me, and he had passed away about a decade ago (a few days before I was planning on seeing him again). I broke hard. I still don't know where he is. It still hits me once in a blue moon, especially when I hear the heart felt R&B like this. I hope that I can help bring this "ol' skool," "true and soulful" R&B, back again asap.
