Thank you for covering this story. These students did an amazing job with their video. It is truly a shame and an embarrassment that they are going to school in these conditions.

It's sad these students had to post these videos just to get people to pay attention.

WOW seriously this is absolutely unacceptable and should have NEVER been allowed to even get close to this state . No school in any neighborhood , in any town , city or district should EVER look like this or be allowed to get even close to this . Inspections in schools should be done at least twice a year with repairs and maintenance being done immediately and regularly , there is no excuse for a school to look like this . smfh

The students, teachers, and staff in this building likely have mold toxicity from mycotoxins given off from this mold, as well as bacterial exposure. The district needs to be held liable for their medical expenses. For mold to be that visibly bad, it's likely that it's been their due to water damage for a really long time. For anyone who was exposed to this building....Find mold literate natropaths and get tested using the Great Plains Laboratories mycotoxin test.

Don’t state inspectors annually inspect a school? ( or do they have to wait for a crisis to occur or for this to hit the news?)

There are 138 schools and centers in the DeKalb county school system. I bet the system has "overlooked" a few more buildings than just this one. Too big?

It shouldn’t cost that much. They could use kids taking vocational classes. Hands on training.

We're starting a petition because if they can fix North Druid Hill just from a student posting a video and we've been complaining about school conditions for years is not right and its not fair!!!
