Warhammer 40k Kill Team! we're playing again today ahead of the release of Season 3!
The Hand of the Archon come out to play for the first time and I really enjoyed using them, new team to learn perhaps? crashing into Ryan's beautiful Veteran Guardsmen!
Whats more Halloween that Dark Elves making balloon animal from the intestinal tracts of a lowly guardsman? ....sweets? I think not!

Great so far! 11:00 you couldn't have used pain token for a dash anyway, as you have to have dashed to be able to shoot and it's only a free dash (even if charged) so you've already done the dash this activation!

Great to see HotA in a batrep and great content as always. I'm focussing on them at the moment. The Shredder would have been amazing in this game as with FDDeath can easily generate 2/3 crits and with blast would likely have outpeformed the blaster. Worth trying at some point.

Probably would have been worth burning a Pain token on the Flayer at around 31:10 to give him +1APL as you'd then have had that point at the end of T2. I really love playing the HotA, they've got a lot of punch and a lot of fun. Great match.

Would the APL not go at the end of the activation though? I did think about this but assumed it worked like Comms boost so wouldn't make a difference for capture, would be great for secure though. Also yeah really enjoyed HOTA didn't think I would but a big fan now

@@GFNGaming Ah yes, good call; I forgot Capture has the point-secure at the start of the end of the TP so by the time this occurs you're back down to 2APLvs2APL. Think I've only played Capture a handful of times, the cards always seem to bring up Loot!

Also using it for the plasma gunner in TP3 would make no sense as he would be engaged anyway and unable to do anything.

Hardened vet is always the main character! Confidant was so distracted by ttr chance to shoot his bolt pistol that he forgot he became the leader and got to give orders even though he would have been the only one in range to get them!

Banner only counts as 3apl for objectives. The center of the board for central control is not an objective so it doesn’t count for that. Also you can’t dash after you’ve already dashed. You can dash after you’ve charged but not if you move dash shoot. Love the content guys keep it up

Ahhh I did wonder afterwards I'll have to check the wording, I don't think I double dashed at any point though? Tbf the central control thing never made a difference as I contested it anyway but it'd be good to confirm

FWIW, the DEldar fear and hate Slaanesh as much as any other Eldar, they just "top up" their souls with the suffering of others as it leaks into Slaanesh's clutches instead of hiding in Spirit Stones like the Craftworld Eldar do.

Out of curiosity, I gotta ask, what happened to the Narrative games? Are they done or are they simply in 'hibernation' at the moment?

I have the next game filmed just needs editing but i guess the honest answer is they're more work than the normal bat reps and nowhere near as popular. I'll finish the campaign but yeah they take a backseat as the normal bat reps just perform better.

Always go for the 6+ FNP on the Drukhs, makes them much more survivable and unpredicatble for your enemy at the same time...

nice setup! But why do you play close combat for the guard with 1/2 profile? The Veterans have bayonet 2/3.

I am growing to like these batreps! For reference, The hardened vet couldn’t shoot out of the smoke, whilst the elixicant couldn’t shoot him cause of the smoke. There’s other stuff, but that one was worth flagging.

Thanks man :) As far as i read it cover lines need to cross into and out of smoke to be considered obscuring, whilst within smoke operatives are visible but in cover so both of those instances they were ok to shoot

@@GFNGaming oooooooo you nailed me there!! I’ve always treated the smoke as if it were a smoke grenade (obscuring if cover line crossed an area of smoke). Teach me to read Nachmund rules properly!!
