@SxS - When I started pistol shooting, late 1980s, all beginners in my club were started on a very well used Drulov Model 65 (much the same as the one you have). Being a single shot, this meant that you had to take up the correct shooting stance for every shot - which seemed a bit tedious, but really drummed the correct stance into your head. Best part of 40 years later, it's STILL there in my head! We did have one newcomer, who wasn't getting on very well (mainly because he wouldn't listen to sound advice!), and he was bitterly complaining one evening, on the lines of "How can I shoot well with such a crappy gun?" Peter, the best shot in the club, wandered over, and asked, very politely, if he could try it. Newbie handed it over - and was left *SPEECHLESS* when Peter shot a score of *92!* Peter, by the way, was a really nice guy, very helpful if you asked for advice, but never swanked about how good he was. By the by; that bobble on the side of the bolt must be a mod done by some previous owner - and, like you, I can't see the point, as I always found the bolt very easy to operate.

I just purchased a Model 65. It's very similar to what you have except there is an actual traditional groved trigger, the back of the bolt is round with checkering around the end with a flat spot with a red dot that indicates it's cocked, cross bolt safety and the grip is a little different but still a fairly large target grip. I'm writing this as I clean and oil it to make it ready to shoot tomorrow. No manual with it but I pretty much figured it out, very basic but well made. I paid $300 out the door which I thought was not bad considering the PRICES of a lot of other BIG BOY TOYS. I thought it was very interesting and Czechoslovakia makes GOOD STUFF (CZ & BRNO) to name a couple GREAT ONES. I LOVE MY 22lrs, that's another reason why I got it. I got quite a few of 22lrs single shot rifles but this is the FIRST PISTOL single shot.😉👍😁. I'm anxious to check out how ACCURATE IT IS.😁👍

They originated as a trapper's killing gun for fur-bearers. Close, quiet, efficient, without damage to the pelt. They were rather crude, but as accurate as most shooters could hold, and they developed into a respected little "free-pistol" olympic style low budget target gun. The literature says that originally they were available in .22 Hornet, though I have never come across one. The history of importation is rather sparse, with some coming in through Canada. Apparently Australia and Europe received a few. When one appears at auction, prices rise far beyond their utilitarian roots. I would love to find one in Hornet, possibly barreling it in 270 REN.

Ma quell'orribile piolo nell'otturare è stato aggiunto dopo?
