This was a huge influence on me as well back in the day. That K Custom ride sounds fantastic!

+Jason Barden The K Custom Organic ride is like a more versatile version of the K Custom that Weckl and Vinnie made famous back in the day. Fun cymbal! Thanks for watching!

Cool. On a side note, you can never go wrong with an Aquarian on the snare...or any other drum. Well done.

+Glassadillo Love me some Aquarian!

Thanks! I researched Will's setup from back in the day and he used to New Beat bottoms as hi-hats!

+Braxton Burke Thanks! There's some tricky stuff in that track that took a while to get under control. Will is the man!

You're welcome! That tom/snare build doesn't sound hard until you actually try to play it lol. It's tough to get it clean. I'm actually considering doing my own drum cover of this song. Will's very underrated!

Love playing this, great job! The fill at 4:15 is money:) And I thought he used the ride for the left hand notes in the outro than the hihat? Hmm. And the hihat choice is amazing. Sounds so good.

Thank you for the visual of one my all time favorite songs. That is a killer snare you got there. What did you use to get that sound? Are you using your right foot for the tambourine? Loving the podcast you guys are killing it.
@MikeDawsonDrums8 жыл бұрын
Thanks! That's an 8x14 single-ply cocobolo snare by MCD Percussion. It's a beast. It's tuned medium-tight. The tambourine is part of the backing track. Thanks for listening to the podcast too!
