my church is lutheran more to hymns. what cymbals are suitable for playing with the organ, maybe some kind of soft unexploded sound, i've noticed a istanbul traditional or similar. do you have any suggestion ? gbu 🙏

I always liked sabian sound control crashes in churtch (LOL showing my age😆), vibrant colour and warmth even at low volume. I once tried Zilsdjain A's but found them to be too clunky. But I've grown to love turkish/anatolian crashes and crash rides,very sensitive and natural sounding. What amazes me is how a good cymbal can interact with other drums and cymbals to bring out even more sonic colour and variation

What size cymbals are considered big? Like 20" and above?

Do you have some spesific cymbal recodemdations.
@vmdrums_4 ай бұрын
Hey Joel, thanks for reaching out! Everyone is making such high quality equipment these days, but I can recommend a few cymbals based on what I've played myself or heard live. Meinl, of course: Hi-hats: 14" or 15" Foundry Reserve, 14" or 15" Benny Greb Sand Hats, 14" or 15" Jazz Thin Hats Rides: 22" or 24" Big Apple Dark Ride, 22" Foundry Reserve Light Ride, 24" Foundry Reserve Ride Crashes: 20" Traditional Extra Thin Hammered Crash, 20" Byzance Extra Dry Thin Crash, any Dual Crash or Trash Crash as well Hope that helps!

@@vmdrums_ Thanks ALOT, i just have one more question. Do you have some recomendations that are very cheap but good? or like budget cymbals for church. Thanks again tho
@vmdrums_4 ай бұрын
@@_Joel_272 Oooo, good question. I'd need to do some research. Off the top of my head, I'd say try buying second-hand or go to a music shop where you can test out things are that on sale. Choosing the right cymbal has much more to do with personal preference than the brand name.

Great video!! Do U recommend Meinl Byzance series for worship??

Thanks! Yes, in fact, I do. Depends on the specific sounds you want, but I love mine for worship

Hey man I planning on buying a heartbeat 24" jazz ride. Do you think its good for intense crashing build ups ?
@vmdrums_4 жыл бұрын
Hey Carlos! Tbh I don’t know much about Heartbeat cymbals, but it feels like everyone is making great quality stuff these days, and a 24” jazz ride sounds awesome. If it feels right for you, I’d say go for it! Do you know if they have a crash/ride? How thin is it?
@carlosmontoya82714 жыл бұрын
@@vmdrums_ reviews say it 2505 grams
@trextonhaldeman3233 жыл бұрын
@@carlosmontoya8271 hey! I don't know if you're still looking or not, but the 24 inch jazz ride is amazing for big crashing buildups, as well as soft smooth grooving as well! It would be a good choice!

@@trextonhaldeman323 awesome!! Also yeah I was still looking around!! Got to make sum right decision about to spend on 2 big cymbals haha
@trextonhaldeman3233 жыл бұрын
@@carlosmontoya8271 heartbeat and Istanbul are both good, I would say if youre looking for two big cymbals, the Epic 24" ride, and the Epic 22" crash would go well together, and they're not super expensive either!

Wow, thank you for this video. We have a very low and small space for worship so cymbals hearing very loud. Tell me please, do u recommended Zildjian K custom special dry or Custom Dark ?
@vmdrums_3 жыл бұрын
Honestly, both of those series sound fantastic. It’s more a question of preference in that case. However, I’ve heard the custom special dry in person and love the character of quick decay, so I’d recommend those.
