Very good lesson. I have been a drummer all my life and I am now 68. I have taken a five year lay off and am now working on getting back into playing again. I have some friends who are old like me and we just want to rehearse some straight ahead jazz together and I am now practicing to get back in shape. This single stroke lesson, on a towel on my bed mattress is getting me back in shape quickly! Great lesson for getting your fast single strokes in shape. Thanks.

As always, Drumeo instructors are here to help us. I joined Drumeo a couple of years ago and it has been a great experience. Would recommend becoming an Edge member if you are just not getting better or not sure how too. Great community of beginner, intermediate and advanced players both men and women. Lessons and archives for almost anything you are working on. Thanks Jared, Dave, Mike and all the instructors at Drumeo.

I’ve run into a bit of a learning curve. Before getting a kit, I’d practice on my leg, which has literally zero rebound, so going faster on the floor tom is easier because I’m used to putting in all the work, but now going fast on the snare drum is harder because I’m not used to the rebound.

I love vintage drum sets especially from Ludwig and Gretsch. I can't give any drums away because I don't own any. Thinking of buying one when I move to Canada for uni. Hoping to start a jazz quartet at Dalhousie. Probably not a good idea for an engineering student but I love music too much. Any tips on purchasing a quality yet affordable drum set?
