Do your lessons include examples of how to play open handed? I've never been able to play the traditional way and I'd really like to start with some lessons.

lefty here, who plays on a reverse kit, is there an easy way to teach my feet to take on opposite roles so that I can play open handed on a righty kit?

Some guy with a bad history teacher yes! I would start off by playing slow/simple grooves that you already know how to play and simply switch the parts your feet are playing. Since you are use to hearing these played the way you play it, this will pinpoint the areas your limbs can improve. Basically your “slow” limb is learning from the one that is conditioned.
