DUDE!!!! This is pure genius! I gig on a Sonor Safari, and have a custom built trunk that holds the entire kit (all drums, hardware, cymbals, mics, and cables) that's about 5' x 2' x 18" tall, and it works wonderfully, but this is next level.

Thank you! I built my first prototype back while I was developing the concept in 2017. Ever since, I’ve used it because it’s such a time saver! Best part is not having to break down hardware - it just stays on the cart using standard Pearl clamps. I’m on prototype 3, and still developing new concepts. Don’t take this the wrong way, haha, but I’d love to see your trunk!

@@paulgriffingatorgrooves I was gonna ask if you'd built this yourself. Too cool. This really is a great setup. My band has a trailer, and so the trunk makes sense. If I were gigging with multiple groups, though, I'd be considering this rig! I have some pics of the trunk with the drums in, but I hadn't finished padding it when I took them. I have a gig this weekend and will snap some pics in it's finished (prototype, but "finished") form. Do you have Facebook? I could share them there.
@@drumjedi5301 Thank you for the compliments. Yes, I built it myself - would love to share the story with you sometime. www.linkedin.com/in/paulgriffingatorgrooves

@@paulgriffingatorgrooves I look forward to it. Myself and my bandmates are all about innovation and efficiency. Our entire setup, from guitar rigs to drums to PA to lights, is designed around saving space and weight, creating ease of setup and teardown, while still having a great sound, and we've really succeeded in doing so. Less time and effort doing "the work," more time and energy for playing, higher ROI. 😁

@@daviewavie112 Yes. It works well with this configuration.

Very cool… congrats! Will this also work with a 20/12/14 kit?
@paulgriffingatorgrooves Жыл бұрын
Thanks! The only problems with a larger kick is 1) the unit becomes slightly wider (may not fit thru a narrow door) and 2) the ground clearance is less, so stairs may not be as easy to navigate without hitting the bass drum.

Wow!!! I’d be pulling out the snare at minute 5. 😆

But then my drummer won’t have an excuse to help with the PA etc 😉🤣

Did you build the structure or is it for sale in the drumstores !?

I built this myself. It’s not available in drum stores yet.
