Hi buddy im proud that you took time to watch Flo Mounier even if Cryptopsy is a Death Metal band extreme metal band as you said! They're From Montréal QC Canada! Not far from where i live! in the French part of Canada! I like Death Metal it s mainly what i listen to and Cryptopsy are one of my favorite band ! They're as good as Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, Dying Fetus, Inebrious Incarnate, Brutal Truth etc ! Im Realy proud of them...i support my local bands lol 😁

Flo Mounier is a very talanted drummer, and also one of my favourite. There are some vids here on YT where he pretty much shows how to improve your speed by different exercises. The man can easily do 230-250 bpm with both hands and feet. He somehow seems like a jazzdrummer in the roots of how he plays and the way his body is moving. Either jazz or he was schooled into jazz at a very early age - (don't quote me on that) - it's mainly what I beleve.

Cool i have seen Flo play in person he’s incredibly fast. But also has some great feel and can be very groovy. I actually didn’t know he had videos on KZbin so I’ll have to check that out. Thanks

My brother got flo's signature for my back patch at a show for me cause I broke my hip skateboarding and couldn't make the show... unbelievably grateful 🙏 can't wait to see them with Death To All on May 30th!

On those super fast double kick runs he's using a different technique - sort of a side to side thing. I saw George Kollias, drummer of Nile demonstrate it once.

Yes that technique is called the swivel technique

Yes the kick is triggered. Alex Van Halen was the drummer who really brought triggered drums to the forefront. From there metal drummers trigger their drums a lot

Nothing is wrong with the vocalist. He’s doing the right thing for the style of music! I think because it was the first time I heard him stand out that I commentated, lol if that’s what you meant by your question?

@@drumteacher43 i said it because its very different from the vocalist who did it on the album version of the song, in this video sounded kinda weird not bat at all just that.. other than that great video deffinitely the most standout aspect of this band is the drumming

@@felipegiraldo8100 the original singer is not in the band anymore and aside from a short return in mid 2000s, he's been gone since the 90s.
