Drum Together (Strathspey Style)

Drum Together (Strathspey Style) is the final installment in the five part series. Strathspeys are difficult because of the constant switching between duplet, triplet and quadruplet subdivisions. Unfortunately, they are a requirement in North American pipe band medley contests. Therefore, strathspeys at the grade 5 level should be simple enough to execute properly and should only use rudiments from Level I of Zero to 60.
These phrases, as was the case with the other four styles, are designed to be practiced together as a complete drum corps. If you are interested in writing a strathspey for grade 4 or 5, these phrases should give you a decent point from which to start.
