I take a lot of time to make these videos and, if someone cant be bothered to sit and watch the entire video before asking questions, I cant be bothered to answer them.

@@Drumblanket Yeah, man! This is by far the best tutorial I've found! I'd love to repair and customize my PS4 controllers, so I've ordered some waterslide decal paper and plan on trying out some AI-generated designs on them. Hopefully it turns out as neat as yours! (and yes, I will use 400 grit sandpaper, haha)

I'm kind of confused, you have 4 cans in the items needed section but only need primer, paint, and clearcoat. Is there a certain type of paint I'm looking for(acrylic, lacquered,etc?) What would be best. And all best type of primer and clearcoat. Thanks.

as far as I know, Leo is still on the controller. This was done for a client a few years ago. I havent heard any complaints about this set up since he received it.

can you feel the edge of the decal or is it easily buried under the clear coat? Also, since the decal is so thin, are the printed colors affect much by the base color of the project? For example if you printed something green and placed it on a yellow controller, will look bluish? Thanks and great job on this one!

If you use darker colored paint, You want to use white waterslide decal paper to avoid the kinds of results you were asking about.

I did one using hydro dip film. Looks bad ass but the paint started coming off the back. I clear coated it but don’t know why that’s happening. Probably been using it for 2 months

Just take your time with it. Practice on something else first. Something you dont care about and is plastic so you can get the idea of how it works. Maybe, Paint whatever it is first so you are creating the situation as closely to the real thing as you can.

Hey I have a question about clear coating. I waited over a day after I applied my base coat and I still haven't clear coated. Is it fine to still clear coat? Or do I need to apply another coat and then clear coat?
