It's impressive to see her do this without ever writing it out. I learn best visually, so I would go grab paper. Also, a fun fact I once learned from Virgil Donati... It turns out he's thinking in 7 when you hear him improvise a "4/4" back beat groove on his right side against the 7 pattern on the left limbs. He said he does that because the 7 pattern is what the audience is checking, and the point is to keep that constant. A mistake on the 4 pattern is less important, because that's the improvised part. I thought that was really interesting considering that he appears to be grounding his mind on the 4/4 back beat... which is also what the average listener would ground to. So remember a drummer might be thinking about something in a completely different way than the audience.

A great behind the scenes of polymeter practice. It’s not easy and takes time. Sometimes a lot of time. 🙃

The patience and focus. I like the reset. Go for a walk even, come back, keep trying, it wil become natural. Also all the possible limb combinations, approaches and steps. This is great

Didn't the first dude ask for 4/4 on the kick drum, the second 7 on snare and the 3rd 3 on hihat?

Yes. We actually did 2 challenges. There is an editing error in the video and a confusion between the 2 challenges
