Ludwig snare drums are one of the greatest snares of all time. I’m thinking of getting their maple snare drum.

Absolutely, all though the supraphonic is iconic, I recently got the 6 1/2 by 14 classic maple snare drum in burgundy finish and it sounds amazing 👍

Well done, I have been a Ludwig fan since listening to my uncle play in the late 70's and 80's. I have his last kit, he bought it used in 1990 and I've had it since about 1998. It is a 24 bass 18 floor tom and 4 rack toms in a beautiful stain late olive and blue badge. All companies have competitors product, I worked at Johnson Motors, we had Mercury motors, and they had our motors.

Great interview. I wish Bill and his new company WFL nothing but the best.would love to try out one of his kits,I'd be willing to bet there phenomenal.!!! Lot of heritage with the Ludwig family. Makes me wonder how the quality is now with the new ownership.!!!

I bought an old WFL 22" bass drum over 40 years ago. I originally intended for it to be a spare drum, but it ended up as my main drum and I still use it today. So cool.

Mitch Mitchell played the natural "blonde" finish and also the "panther" finish Ludwigs after the Monterrey Pop Festival. Small black and white pictures of Mitch on his Ludwigs line the borders on the inside of Electric Ladyland lp.

Vintage Ludwig drums are the best snare ever made.

What a great movie this would make. Start out with Sr. playing in the circus then moving to Chicago trap playing and making the 1st pedal, getting his sound effect business going the silent era ending abruptly. Bring in Jr. and go through the war and WFL (Buddy Rich) era into Jr. getting Sr.'s name back. 3rd act ....the 60's Ringo......and end with 93 year old Sr., 57 year old Jr. and an 18 year old 3 seeing John Bonham playing on a green sparkle kit.

That is a very good idea Bob. I love the ending with Bonzo
