Yep, Sugarfoot is so precise with those drums. He's also worked with George Michael, Madonna, Elton John, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, Janet Jackson and of course worked with the Jacksons which led to his long stint being Michael's drummer for many of his live shows. He's kinda hypnotic to watch. He's not the most emotive or flashy drummer but he doesn't need to be. He does his job with skill and almost machine-like timing. :O

Legend has it that Annie is actually the name of the drums, and Michael Jackson is simply asking if she’s OK.

As far as I know, the reason why the cymbals are so high is because he needed to see Michael’s movements and signals on stage. Also this is the live version drum, not the studio version. 😃

His cymbals are placed like that because he wanted to be a superhero and it looked cool. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYjMiGeVbcyibNksi=DUwGJiXmjPXmaq_d

6:20-6:38 - I say that about singers too. Sonetimes, (a lot of times) great singers don't want to just sing straight through a song singing just the notes. They like to show off or make it fun for them and play with their voice and play with the song. They don't wanna be bored singing. Nice reaction.

how the hack did he catch those cymbals at the end? It's like he has 4 hands.
@arielshpitzer15 күн бұрын
You just try to grab the Cymbals with your hands while holding the sticks. imagine they're not there while holding them. try it, it's easy.

Hey, brother. I would like you to check out a West African drummer named Mamady Keita . I think you would impress you when performing his solos.
