I love his drum style and theatricality with his playing, it's something I hope to achieve someday. Been a lifelong guitar and bass player among other instruments and learning the drum kit has been the most challenging but rewarding and it always amazes me when artists make it look so effortless.

12:08 Your reaction totally reminds me of when the drummer in my band (I play bass) was trying to play Primus "My Name is Mud" and was working his butt off trying to double kick the whole riff until someone pointed out it was just the very last few bars of the song where he uses triplets, the rest of the song is just bass guitar with 2 kick beats at a time. We both had our jaws on the floor and he was so frustrated lol.

Beginners play simple because that's all they know, midlevel and high level drummers play complex because they know how to, and professionals make simple sound complex because they're THAT GOOD! 🤣
