This is Adam's arrangement of ORAS by Saro. The original is much shorter because it's a competition piece. Since Adam has more time, he layers a lot more harmonies and percussion in there. During the Christmas tour this past winter he did a very Trans-Siberian Orchestra-ish version of Carol of the Bells for the loop station bit. People talk about Tim's bass in a live performance, and it is certainly an experience, but Adam's throat bass just slams into you.

Adam was a performance trumpet major in college. They learn circular breathing which I’m sure he uses while he is beatboxing.

I'm seeing them again in December. Hope you enjoy the show (I know you will) Adam does beatbox the whole concert, the others get a break when he's doing the solo, but Adam doesn't. I don't know how he does all of that either, he has a lot of stamina. If I tried my mouth wouldn't work past a song, it'd be numb.

FUN FACT if you ask Kome Free they will teel you Adam has the wetdest range with his sweet tenor voice sits wright between Austin and Rob ans he started takinh formal singing lessons to be able to harmonice with himself on the looper

Thanks for doing this more recent video of Adam Rupp. These telephone recordings aren't the best quality. I am sure you will be blown away seeing Adam & Home Free live. Adam is in a league by himself & is one of the best out there in my opinion. His breath control must be crazy. I heard he makes the sounds both while inhaling & exhaling. Adam is the glue that holds Home Free together. He is their secret weapon which other a cappella groups can't match.

I got to see them 3 times in a year in small venues..... when he yelled drop the bass and does it,,,, it was like getting hit. one place it felt like the floor dropped 2 inches and then popped back.......

You are going to have a serious blast at the concert...when they do Man of Constant Sorrow you will have a surprise from Austin and even though you know it's coming from Tim you will still jump! When Tim says it's a party go right up to front of the stage and dance...they encourage a party!!!😂😂😂😂😂

You are going to have so much Fun at the Show. Remember it's a Party so feel free to dance and sing along . Tim will tell yah so himself. By the way Tim Say's Adam Rupp has the Largest Vocal Range in HF I trust Tim he knows a few things having a 5 octave range himself.

Adam has played the trumpet since he was young and that taught him the breath control that he can make those sound whether breathing in our out. I always thought that you hear him take a breath, most of the time its an inhale. You saw the other Home Free guys come back on stage as soon as Adam's routine is done. There is a Home Free short -- less than 40 seconds -- called Home Free Leaves Adam Out To Dry or Leaving Adam Out To Dry On Stage. The guys take Adam's drum solo to get a drink, use the bathroom, just take a breather and that time they lost track of time. It's filmed backstage and is is blurry at times as the boys have their "oh god what did we do ha ha ha" moment going back out there. The laughing blonde lady is Jenika Marion, the stage/tour manager. She's actually Jenika Marion Foust, Tim loving wife and sister to Chris and Luisa Marion, musicians in Tim and Austin's outside band Sweet + Low Music Co.

No matter how it's recorded or by what ..... Will not get the same effect as being there!!!! Just Sayin'!!! They replicate what they do in the studio but turned-up a notch or 3. Simply put, you not only hear it but Feel It! LIVE with these guys, ya just can't get any better .......... not matter the length of the show, it over before ya realize. You leave there questioning "Did that really just happen?". Never enough of these guys! Be Safe

The jacket he put on has mirrors on top and it usually glitters in the stage lights, but looks like it was still very light at this outdoor concert.

Another problem with the loop station he had at least once was that his mic picked up a very loud scream or "YEAH!!" from the audience and he had to do that part over.

Adam is the glue of the group. He's so incredible . He does it so great. It's not only the mouth sounds but also the moves that he does. I think a very good explanation for this: Adam Rupp is no human. 😉 He is a drum alien in Angeldisguise. You just have to because he is so unbelievably good(and handsome too😊😍)!! Like he swallowed a drum kit. And then vocally he can also make so many more (instrument) sounds which is not normal

Too bad the audio wasn't better. If you can find a ideo from the 2022 Christmas show, you can see him do Carol of the Bells with the looped. Absolutely blew me away in person.
