Thank you SOOO much to our patron Heidi for showing me this absolute gem of a track. I got so emotional half way through the song... no words needed. Just pure musical ecstasy and a flood of memories I didn't want but I needed. Thank you Heidi. I needed this one.

"Advice for the Young at Heart" is another gem from this album. As is the title track ("Sowing the Seeds of Love" with its Beatlesesqe soundscape).

TFF will always be in my list of Top 10 greatest bands of all time. 💯 This album is such a masterpiece. Oleta Adams was only on this one album, but her voice and piano just take the band to the next level! Elemental and Big Chair are also phenomenal albums!😍

This album, or better saying, the first 3 albums by Tears for Fears are just out of this world. Simply astounding works, and pretty different on their own. The Hurting is more barebones synth pop, kinda depressing themes and soundscapes (I'd suggest listening to bonus tracks which were singles, like The Way You Are) Songs From The Big Chair still using major eletronic sounds, but starts to get more flair and have more intricate production (and all the hits are there) and then Seeds of Love is like the epitome of high value production, less drum pads and more personnel, sort of a concept album too.

Oh Heidi, I told you that I was sure that I would like this if you did and OMG! I am not ashamed to say that I got a little misty eyed listening to this. Curt’s bass throughout the song and all those soaring notes, the soundscapes, WOW. I love Oleta’s vocals but this really was something special. Thanks so much for requesting this on Patreon. 🙏🏆🔥

I was a big fan of Tears For Fears as a teen back in the 80's and still love them. Also checkout Shout, Sowing the Seeds of Love, Mad World, and Working Hour. I like what you said about truth. I definitely came into this world as a red pill person

I'm hoping everyone below is asking you to play with vocals, because the lyrics are incredible as are the vocals, astounding! Tears For Fears are an incredible band, their production and engineering rivals Steely Dan, the ultimate compliment. Check out: Working Hour, Sowing the Seeds of Love, Elemental, Raoul and the Kings of Spain, Shout, Everyone Wants to Rule the World, Break It Down Again, Goodnight Song, Mr. Pessimist, I can go on and on. this band is worthy of a very deep dive.

music like this could not have happened without prog. One of my fav TFF albums is "Saturnine, Martial and Lunatic" which I would describe as a collection of art-B sides just because TFF wanted to release beautiful music, not necessarily commercial. Music for the sake of it - _Sea Song_ , a follow-up to The Beatles _I am The Walrus_ - even has a tone poem (think: Debussy) called _Pharos_ just for the hell of it - a great musical album :) Great reaction, Lee!

Disappointing that this version didn't include the soaring vocals of Roland and Oleta. As an instrumental it's fine, and better quality than most music of today. But it's just not the same song or experience without them. The original is a must listen.💯

This is cool 😎 but the regular vocal version is much better. I think for a first listen it’s a shame you can’t hear how amazing Roland and Oleta Adams are together. I hope you will sometime listen to it on the channel. Phil Collins is on drums and the album features several other musicians like Pino Palladino on bass and Manu Katche and Simon Phillips on drums. Steven Wilson has said many times that this is a perfect sounding album. The Seeds Of Love is one of the best albums of the 1980’s. Every song is incredible. Thanks for the reaction!

The album where this song comes from includes the most notorious rip off of the Beatles ever done. With the possible exception of "Mr. Blue Sky" by ELO, which models its shape after the middle section of "A day in a life". The song "Sowing the seeds of love" by Tears from Fears is like something out of the "Magical mystery tour" album, and without "I'm the Walrus " ... "Sowing the seeds of love would simply not exist I'm not saying this to put down Tears for Fears. It's just to say one more time how absolutely great the Beatles were and how long is their shadow
