LOVE Alex's tom and cymbal work. Guy really plays the WHOLE kit. Love that technicality he brings and sometimes he throws a bit of Latin/Caribbean touch to it. Not enough to sound out of place, but sprinkled in in a way that raises your eyebrows and makes you think, "oh wow, what was that?" They're definitely a different band with him and for the better in my opinion

Trivium's breakdowns so Dream Theater... and I love it. They aren't afraid to make a 10 minute song with multiple transitions. The Alexes are my favorite drummers-- Bent and Rudinger.

Alex is very expressive with his playing, it’s not just his technical ability and speed- he colors the songs very nicely- you can tell he’s bored easy with the cliche metal stuff
