Is the band you were referring to with Eric Krasno simply called the Eric Krasno band, or is it a different name? I know a band Eric Krasno has been in called Lettuce (who released an excellent instrumental funk record called “Crush” back in 2015) and their drummer’s name is Adam Deitch. He fits the description you gave this unknown drummer in every way. His time and chops are excellent, and he’s super tasty without being too flashy, just an excellent drummer on all fronts. Even if he isn’t the drummer you were talking about, know Adam Deitch, cause he’s excellent.
