@@Simon53188 I prefer drumming like Mike Bordin where he hits so hard there’s sawdust everywhere, bloody hands, broken pedals, goes through 2-3 snare heads per show. I realize it’s a different genre, but I’m all about brutal energy. Sure I have technique, but the audience wants to see me snapping sticks

As a drummer who plays doubles often, I think swivel technique singles are way cooler, but doubles are so much less tiring and easier to play live. I can see why he did it.

@@brycewilson1741swivels (in my opinion) only work at super fast pace if it’s a natural motion. At least for me personally. Doubles are a lot less effort depending on the range of motion. But swivels are super sick if done right and also feel pretty effortless.

Going half speed on the hats is helpful for the band as it provides a count in Also depending on how open they are blasting on the hats just sounds like complete ass. It just sounds like white noise.
