Whenever I feel like I'm a failure at anything I watch a Ken Bedene playthrough to prove that point even more.

Ken is the epitome of the perfect metal drummer and band mate. Not only in his rock solid playing, but personality wise; not cocky, fun to be around and great sense of humor. Ken lets his drumming do the talking for him and off stage he’s one of the realest, cool dudes you’ll ever meet. Absolute gem!

2:22 wow! As a professional drummer (nowhere near these guys) I spent the last few days getting into this extreme metal scene and checking out a few of those drummers. I see a lot of impressive stuff, but after 30 minutes you get the feeling you have seen everything there is to see. So thoses 8 seconds at 2:22 stand out to me. It's the first bit I heard since I started were actually something grooves. Very nice. Leaving those imperfections in is very nice as well. To me, hearing the struggle makes it more intense. But I guess I'm a minority with this. Snaresound way ahead of the pack as well.

Im glad i found a playthough - when the singles came out i wanted to be sure i was as inadequate of a drummer as i felt at the time. Watching this today hammered that home.
@slothstradamus89Ай бұрын
I meannnn, but RIGHT THOUGH? I'm a 35yr old guitar player, started playing in 2003. And w/ one notable exception, I always wrote ALL the material, like as in for each position..both guitars, and the drums, and then the vocal cadence (I never wrote the lyrics though, as I feel that's a pretty personal thing, since they'll be singing it every practice and gig. I left that to whomever our vocalist was. And the bassist who was in all my bands with me but ONE, was so amazing he'd just hear me play the song a few times and BAMMM...next practice he's written the perfect bass lines for the song....a bit unreal, honestly). I've only just now reached a point where in my production/engineering skills (like at home), that I want to at least try the, "One Man Band" thing, where I'll write, and then play/record, every instrument. Seeing as how I somehow, quite obliviously, wrote the entirety of all my collective previous band's songs. Now, all that wall of txt being said...how in the ACTUAL FUCK am I supposed to replicate something like this?!?! I mean shit, even to PROGRAM something like this?! Bedene is like.. literally capable of more than even a fine-tuned machine could ever HOPE to be made to achieve. Goddamnit...I fucking love Aborted. SO much. But...fuck...Ken just makes me wanna stop even trying to write metal songs anymore. And I mean that in the most POSITIVE way I could lol

@@corrupted_realm 90% of deathcore drum playthroughs. You can notice it, if the drummer goes really fast and its just... too accurate. Its just impossible for humans to be this accurate. No, its not about the triggers, i love triggers, they just edited it, to make it better. There is no problem with it, if they change it just a little bit, like Fleshgod Apocalypse's drummer, Eugene. He changes it a little bit, to make sure its perfect, but he is still an amazing drummer live.
