pay attention to the hi hat rhythm and then fill in the gaps with ghost notes on the snare if you want the sticking here you go [: R (L) R (L) R R (L) R | ℞ (_) R (L) R R (L) R :] The ℞ is both hat + snare, the _ is a rest

Much love but I simply refuse to believe that whipping out clean, dynamic one handed 16th notes at a tempo like that is 'all about the feeling'

You’re right - years of training technique can’t be ignored here. But in this case the title of the video serves the easier connection with the wider audience, especially the lesser technically propounded audience (the absolute majority of people on this planet) who strongly believe in fairy tales in music like “there is just feeling“. It is comforting to see this title when you don’t know much about music, but want to somehow understand what’s happening here. („Oh look, a stick on drums - this is just feeling.“ everyone knows what „a feeling“ is after all)

This is the type of stuff you’d love for new players thinking about drumming to see. You don’t need a 15 piece drum set to stand out. Amazing work man. I’m 36 and drummed my whole life but I wish I started working on these techniques at your age 🤘. Never stop.. have fun. Enjoy the ride
