I used to wonder if the flowers could be eaten too, well now I know. I think I would like it in a soup or stir fry. Definitely would try it. But for now, I'm going to watch this and maybe try it too.

Daal soaked 2hours and cleaned, chilly,ginger,fennel seeds,salt all mashed up.Mix this paste with onion,coriander leaves, drumstick flowers.Fry it up in vegetable oil until golden.

The flowers are delicious but it can be an acquired taste but you can also cook the drumstick leaves and the young drumstick pods with lentils and it is delicious! Not only drumsticks but we also fry and eat Neem flowers ! It's a bit bitter but very good for your health!I remember my mom used to force us to eat fried neem flowers when we were kids but now I love it ! :)

you are right, it is labor intense, however everything tastes so much better when cooked like that over processers and gas or electric stoves. I guess you have to experience it to believe it.
