@SFUPodcast3 ай бұрын
@@metall301 the build quality on the 507 is far better. 2 toms 1 crash and the snare broke within 2 years on the strike pro. There’s a plexiglass piece the piezo triggers are on and it breaks and the cones no longer make contact with the mesh head. Plus the hi hat on the Roland is far superior.

Thank you so much Dave! I really like my drum-tec pro series / TD-50X setup, that I have used on tour this summer a lot: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6eVo5iXa66Egrs To me the TD-50X is way more flexible because of the amount of ins/outs & the physical faders, also I prefer the TD-50X sound to the TD-27 by far (even after this upgrade). You can listen to some nice drum-tec Sound Edition demos for the TD-50X here if you like, the Live Sound Edition actually comes for free with the purchase of a TD-50X module/kit from drum-tec: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoCxg3-YhLiBq6M kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIrReoGnmth3fbc kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHenaZudd7RondE Kind regards & merry christmas!

Thank you so much, that's a rather complex question :) I've been playing the drums for 32 years now actually, including musical studies of jazz & popular music for 5 years at the music collages Mainz & Hamburg. So I had quite some time to work on different styles, establish routine for certain techniques etc. In the end, it's all about practice/routine, and having a teacher at hand, that guides you through the process, without skipping or rushing things. Kind regards & merry christmas!

Which one of these 3 would have the best natural triggering specially for the Hi-hat? Roland VAD504 - EFNOTE 5 - ATV artist series Standard. Awesome drumming 🤘🤘
@drumtecTV2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Luan! The triggering / playability of the Roland VH-14D is hard to beat in my opinion, also CY-18DR is a sensational e-cymbal. So I guess, I'd rate it just in the exact running order that you used :) Yet, there are even more options, as you might actually get any customized kit configuration from drum-tec! Please also check out the 100% Roland compatible drum-tec pads, especially the diabolo/pro series Real Feel bass drums, which play outstandingly authentic & are way more silent than f.e. the Roland VAD KD-200/KD-180L: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGqsmGRorL14ibM Feel free to get in touch through experts@drum-tec.de for further assistance and/or an individual quote on any kit configuration including international shipping if you like. I’d easily pick the Roland VAD out of all of those for one really big reason: product support. Roland isn’t going anywhere as a company. Ef Note is a small company with limited distribution. ATV no longer services North America (to the best of my knowledge) and is dwindling.

Ralf is phenomenal but these Roland modules just sound so terrible. How is this acceptable at that price point when Superior Drummer 3 exists in the same time period? The only thing that's gonna keep Roland alive going forward is owning the patents to the digital USB pads, in my opinion. What a shame to see such a big name edrum brand fall so far behind, even behind companies like Alesis. Hell, who would've thought Pearl's drum modules would kick Roland's ass? Damn shame.
@drumtecTV2 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! I like the Roland modules for their state-of-the-art triggering/playability, the mentioned digital pads and also features like the positional sensing on snare/hh/rc. I also got very nice results from the TD-50X on tour last summer, but wouldn't have used it for any genre though. In the end I guess it really comes down to what you need and what kind of musical styles you'll be playing mostly. If it's any kind of rock music, the Mimic will just sound way more authentic all the way. For some more electro infused / pop / groove genres, I'm happy using my drum-tec pro series / TD-50X setup (and also in the studio for midi out), and then there's jazz for example, where I wouldn't use an electronic drumkit at all 😀 So, it depends! Kind regards & merry christmas!
