The enforcers here in America are a paramilitary organization that DOES NOT WORK FOR THE PEOPLE, they work for the corporations that hired them. Their loyalty is to the corporation that pays them, and their blue line gang members. Yes, you pay their salaries with your tax dollars that the corporate government steals from you. But, they don't work for us. They're enforcers of/for the ruling class, and nothing more than mercenaries. No matter how unconstitutional the whims and whimpers of the ruling class declare, the enforcer class will enforce it on us, even if it means to brutalize, torture, hospitalize and/or murder us to make us obey it. These enforcers are the standing army our forefathers warned us about. All enforcers in my country will violate your/our rights in a heartbeat. There's no law, code, edict, whim, or whimper, of the ruling class, that the enforcer class will not extort, arrest, brutalize, torture, hospitalize, and/or murder you for, even if it's made up in the enforcers head. There's only one way things will ever change. "We the people", have been peacefully protesting for generations, and we've been voting for change in every election, and nothing is ever different. Every day we lose more and more of our rights, freedoms, and liberties'. They will never give our rights back to us, and will continue to take them away, one by one until they're all gone. We live in a police state just like in 1930's Germany and it's becoming more and more tyrannical and oppressive by the day. There is only one way we can get them back as history has told, over and over again. We will have to take our rights back by FORCE like we did between 1775-1782. And fought again in 1812-1815 when the British came back. No tyrannical government in the history of the earth has ever given their people freedom and liberty. The people had to destroy the people in power(Ruling class), and their enforcers (Enforcer class), to win their freedom and liberty. Our government will never give back that which they have stolen. The "Declaration of Independence" gives us the reason, power, duty, and ability, to reclaim our liberty and freedom.

Same in Ukraine my home nation, in Ukraine we do not have immunity for cops if an cop beats civilian on a street in Ukraine and it shown on a news they get fired and jailed for 5-10 years. There was 3 cops that harassed Ukrainian soldier 3 months ago and they started shooting on ground to scare the soldier it was shown on a news and now those 3 police put into prison for 7 years for harassing the soldier. If this would happen in the U.S the cops would be free with getting paid vacation then get hired back at neighboring department. The cops are not above the law if it's U.S. Ukraine, Mexico or Canada or Russia or Germany they should get more criminal penalties then civilians

@6:45 LOL you are one of the few gringos who I can't say not to call what police do in Mexico extortion. I say this because if I remember correctly your stance is that policing for profit in USA is a form of extortion, so then yes what Mexican police do is also extortion. However, for those that don't have a problem with traffic infractions in USA shouldn't really say Mexican police extort people. Giving you an option to bribe them or get a ticket is not really extortion. In USA you can either pay the fine or fight it in court, here in Mexico you often get option C, give the cop some cash and it is done with. I know there are always some exceptions, but generally speaking at least around the Riviera Maya, when LEOs pull people over they did commit the infraction the LEOs are claiming. It is not common for an LEO to make up an infraction out of thin air.
@GavinSeim
@GavinSeim Жыл бұрын
"Giving you the option to bribe them or get a ticket is not really extortion" Es en serio? Anytime someone uses threat and force to make you pay them money, it's extortion. That's what the word means. And anyone who is from Mexico knows police extort. Don't let your tourists ignorance show.
@CancunManny
@CancunManny Жыл бұрын
@@GavinSeim Again, the way YOU see traffic tickets in general (including USA), yes YOU can call it extortion. In USA if you get a speeding ticket and decide not to pay, gov will use force to make you pay one way or another. Now, the average USA citizen doesn't see traffic infractions as "extortion". The average US citizen doesn't mind that some people get pulled over and get tickets for driving 10 to 15 MPH over the speed limit just as EVERYONE else was doing. In USA we are indoctrinated to ask ourselves "was I speeding?" "did I forget to put on my seatbelt?" if so, then I shouldn't be upset if an LEO gives me a ticket/fine for it. We are not thaught to look at traffic tickets as extortion. Here in Mexico if an LEO catches me speeding and pulls me over, he more than likely would offer me two options, for him to give me the speeding ticket or for him and I to take care of it on the spot with him as gentlemen. Bribing would definitely be corruption, but no necessarily extortion. For me extortion would be if an LEO threatens to give you tickets for something you haven't really done if you don't give him money. For good or for bad, bribing traffic cops is part of the Mexican culture. Many political parties claim they will end the corruption but the system is set up around bribes. I personally find it interesting that if a speeding ticket could cost you 1500 pesos fine, that an LEO would be willing to take 100 to 200 pesos as a bribe instead of giving you the ticket. Heck, if I was an LEO taking bribes I would expect at least half of what ever you would pay as a fine otherwise. Turns out LEOs know that if they ask for more than 100 to 200 pesos people won't pay, not because they rather pay the 1500 ticket, but because they can't afford more than the 100 to 200 pesos bribe. Unlike USA traffic infractions are not a huge part of revenue collection for the city. Government knows that if they actually give out many tickets people just won't pay them but continue to drive without a license. If Mexico really wanted to end police corruption, traffic cops specifically, they first would have to not make it a crime to pay a bribe to a gov official (India made this change within the last 15 years) that way those that do pay the bribe can actually turn around and snitch afterwards. The other step would be to make the fines low enough so they are realistic. Today, yes I rather give an LEO 200 pesos instead of getting a speeding ticket that would cost me over 1000 pesos, but if it came down to paying a 300 to 400 pesos fine vs giving the LEO 200 pesos there would be a good chance I would pay the full fine instead of bribing the LEO.

@@CancunManny Traffic tickets are a form of theft. But those are not the topic of this video. We're talking about police using intimidation and force to get money from you. That is literally extort. Stop being ignorant.
@CancunManny
@CancunManny Жыл бұрын
@@GavinSeim So wait, if I don't agree with you I am ignorant? For you, if a police from ANY country pulls someone over and gives them a traffic ticket it is theft/extortion. With that definition if a Mexican police pulls someone over for speeding and gives them a ticket OR accepts a bribe it would be extortion either way. Now for the average person that doesn't see traffic tickets as theft or extortion, it would be hard for them to argue how a police offering to accept a bribe instead of giving you the ticket becomes extortion.

@2:53 I agree with much of what you say, I've learned a thing or two by watching your videos, but on some things we don't see eye to eye. I do believe it wouldn't be fair to blame the media for the lack of coverage of corrupt politicians and narcos. Mexico has one of the highest number of reporters being killed or gone missing, because they were covering such stories. That tells me reporters/media would like to report what is really going on with those topics, but there are real consequences for doing so.
