Me either. I wonder if her friends are just as drunk? They had to see how messed up she was. Not saying they are the boss of her but damn they let her drive. Fun fact, when women are ovulating they get drunk faster because we metabolizer alcohol slower during this time. I share this fact on every DUI video. Not sure if it would make women more aware that they have to be careful at certain times of the month but it can't hurt to have a little knowledge.

I was 21, half drunk, stoned, weed and a powdery white substance on me, driving home when I get to a DUI checkpoint. They were checking and stopping random cars. I’m about 6 cars back and I quickly switch the radio to KROQ, light a cigarette, button my collar, and take My beanie off my head. I cracked my window and was like “God please get me out of this.” The officer stopped every car infront of me, and waved me and the next couple cars through. I started screaming and crying that they let me through. I make it home safely crying like a baby. Right there and then made a promise to never drink or smoke and drive ever again and I haven’t. I’m 42 now. Just get a Uber/Lyft. They’re everywhere and it’s worth it. At least out here in LA they are.

Wow. God had you that night. I was in my early 20s, young and dumb, and decided to drink and drive. Same thing happened. Checkpoints. I had been fishing all day and drinking beer from afternoon to late evening. A LOT. Got stopped on our way to the bar and had to do FST. I was in my little skirt and tall black boots, looking ridiculous LOL. Anyway, I PASSED! I don't know how but I did. Crazy stuff.

That Officer, and all of the ones with him, should have been closer to her, knowing how wasted she was. IMO, they put her at risk, she couldn’t even get out of her car properly. Then doing the test very close to the live lane, with traffic driving by, isn’t very intelligent…The officer should have been between her and the live lane…

I’m always amazed that the police are required to carry out a FST in cases where there is a suspicion of DUI - in the UK the Police go straight to a field breath test. It saves a lot of time for everyone.

​@@SarahKDB if driving under the influence is suspected in the UK then they use observations they make while the suspect is in control of the vehicle prior to being pulled over as well as observations made of the suspects behaviour and appearance during the interaction/traffic stop. They also utilise the use of the PBT for alcohol and a tongue swipe if drugs are suspected as roadside testing.

If you've ever been hammered drunk, you know how your eyes feel like they get crossed when you look around? 😂 This is what I think happens when they tell you to"follow with your eyes only, don't move your head". You have to wait at least 10 seconds before your eyes land back into their sockets and that's why you look as if you're looking somewhere else. Lol!

They're primarily looking for the smoothness of eyeball motion. When intoxicated, the eyes will follow a target in little stop-and-go increments (moving jerky), versus a smooth continuous tracking movement when sober. Of course if you're really hammered, not only will you have the eye movement issue, but a lot of these people fail to keep their heads stationery as well, or fail to follow the basic instructions, etc.

This has *nothing* to do with anything lol They're looking for the inability of the brain to track an object and when it attempts to move eyes past where the sober brain says "stop". It's called a horizontal gaze nystagmus test. Eyes crossing are a couple levels deeper than where nystagmus shows up.

I was wondering that myself. His lights had only been on a few seconds before he seemed to attempt to PIT her vehicle. His lights turn on at 0:41, and he strikes her vehicle at 0:44. I thought everyone knew the whole point of the field sobriety test was to gather evidence to use against you in court. It's not to determine if you're safe to drive like the officers often say. If the officer asks you to take one of these tests there's a 99.9% chance they've already decided to arrest you.
