We as Americans also call 16 a child/minor when the vast majority of Americans are cool with or do not care about a 16 year old legally driving a car "when they can kill someone" or when the commit premeditated murder and being treated like an adult. When it comes to sex they get treated like a child/minor even when they agree to it which is hypocritical even though there is a context they can be legally married at both 16 and 17. You want to talk like the judge is corrupt but the laws that defend 16 is a child/minor/baby also defend the judge and 16 year old too.

My car was hit by a drunk driver and totaled. Some teenager in a big truck just like this who fled the scene and was arrested after leaving his license plate imbedded in my bumper. My thoughts after walking out of work to see my car folded in half was “thank god i wasn’t in the car I would be dead.” But the next day, my friend drove me to work and on the highway, someone hit us and pushed us into the barrier, and we had to go in the ambulance to the hospital. Life is crazy but I could have died two times within 18 hours so you have to be thankful. I have no sympathy for anyone who drives intoxicated and puts other people’s lives in danger.

A good lawyer may help reduce time, but less than a year sentence? I'm sorry, but not even the BEST LAWYER IN THE WORLD should be able to convince a quadruple murder + 14 other injured from DUI to bring a sentence to less than a year. People typically serve at least a few years for a SINGLE drunk driving murder, much less multiple. Drunk driving? One strike, you're out. License revoked for life. Kill people while driving? Manslaughter in the very least. Drunkenness is not an exonerating circumstance, it's a condemning one!

The way you are saying it, "drunk driving? one strike, you're out. License revoked for life" and then "Kill people while driving? Manslaughter in the very least", it sounds good in spirit, especially after watching this video, but it's really just not realistic in any way or indictive or how we do law in the US. Don't take that as me wanting to let people get away with driving drunk or anything related, I'm just pointing this out because it doesn't seem like you considered any possible scenario or repercussions related to what you would hope for.

Don't forget how the prosecution only ended up this kid to be only in probation, and since the incident, this person has violated his probation **MULTIPLE** times. This not only proves the injustice of the system but also a huge slap to the face to the victims that the person who caused the death of 4 people and traumatized many more was only put on probation. So much for equality.

I don’t care how spoiled you are, EVERYONE knows you don’t drink and drive. Let alone speeding whilst you’re driving drunk. Those that drink and drive are just selfish, they don’t think about the other people that they may injure and/or kill. The fact he basically got away with it and then got pictures at a party was disgusting. The judge took a leap of faith in him, that you’d learn your lesson. But he basically slapped him in the face.
