Honestly the worst and most biased (for whatever reason) review I have ever watched on this. I’m honestly at loss for words for the deceptive language you used in the video. First L-Ascorbic Acid oxides so quickly when it’s exposed to air and oxygen frequently, which tends to happen when the formula comes in a dropper like PC’s C15 and SkinCeutical. The packaging is extremely important as sometimes the products come slightly oxidized right out of the box (especially for international customers with longer shipping time). A pump is almost always preferred for this reason when it comes to L Ascorbic Acid, like in this product. The fact you made such a big deal out of having to mix it yourself was the first big red flag for me, as you keep throwing that out there every now and then. While I do agree with you that it’s a bit wasteful to have an additional bottle, the mixing is not difficult at all. It’s super easy and takes only a few seconds. I knew something was up when you started shittalking about that, cuz it’s considered a pro (not a con) as it ensures the freshest product. Next, you mentioned that the product need not be mixed too much once the liquid is poured into the powder. This was the next red flag as the product should be shaken and mixed for one minute immediately, which is on the PACKAGING. You clearly did not mix it as the powder can be seen resting at the bottom when you pulled out the vial. So of course your ph test would be all wrong as it’s the Ferulic Acid combined with Vitamin E that stabilizes the formulation and brings the ph down. So your ph result has no meaning. You also talked about how other people thought this smelled like this and that, while offering no opinion of your own. I for one do not find the smell to be that strong or awful as you made it sound. I don’t think you should have even reviewed this as you clearly have something against DE. Maybe it’s these teenagers hyping up the brand and acting like hoodlums at Sephora that has ruined it for you. My honest opinion.

This is possibly the WORST and most biased and useless review I have ever come across for a vitamin c serum. I have been using the Skinceuticals vitamin c serum for months. It’s overhyped and overpriced. I am objective when it comes to these products. I have a magnifying mirror. The skinceuticals serum was trash and it felt very sticky and unpleasant. Not to mention the smell that gives me headaches. So I was looking for a vitamin c serum alternative and came across your video. Boy. There is so much misinformation. The fact that you have to mix the content of two bottles is the LEAST of my concerns. For the love of god, it takes less than a minute to mix the two products together. In the grand scheme of things, if something GRULY works and the price you have to pay is just mixing two products, so be it. I don’t understand it why you made such a big fuss out of it. Also, you were wrong about the PH. Whoever reads this, do not take this review seriously.

It’s the ferulic acid that gives it the hot dog/salami/meat smell. I’ll stick with Timeless which is made weekly, is in an opaque, airless pump, and it’s lasting for a really long time by keeping it in the fridge. 🍊

Ooooh, that explains it! I alternate between c+e+ferulic and resveratrol+ferulic as my antioxidant serums. And they smell the same especially as they get older. I never thought of it much other than trying to make sure I use up both products in a timely manner. But now that you mention it: two different products smell the same and they have one shared ingredient. Yeah, I almost could've figured out the smell comes from that ingredient all by myself, but alas, I didn't. So thanks! 😂

The DE C Firma was my favorite all time Vitamin C serum. I have rosacea and despite the addition of exfoliants, it never increased the redness in my skin. Maybe that's because the pH is at 4 😂. Anyhow I stopped buying this a long time ago because the price is so high!

I just finished a full ‘mini’ bottle of this and had no irritation at all but I think my skin is pretty resilient. I kind of like the little pump bottle and the slightly oily base. I didn’t like the smell but understand that comes with the vitamin c territory. But my only beef was that I wasn’t sure it made any difference on my skin. My complexion looked maybe a bit brighter overall but I have a couple of darker areas of hyperpigmentation that remain unchanged. I bought a second mini bottle and if no difference seen, I may give up vitamin c completely.

I used up a mini of that last summer and had absolutely no issues. No pilling or foaming, no skin irritation, nothing. Quite liked it actually. But my skin tends to be more resilient in summer time so that's not saying much I guess. What I like about this formulation is L'Oreal having sued Drunk Elephant for patent violation because of it. 😂 L'Oreal has a patent for how to make an effective vit-c serum so if you violate that patent then your vit-c product is likely to be effective. That's how I rationalize it. 🤷‍♀️ Not going to repurchase because of the price tho. Also, I wasn't aware the pH might not be as advertised, that's definitely sus in case of a vit-c serum.

I agree 100%. I used a full size of the new formula and did not like how thick and tacky it felt on my skin. It just doesn't seem to sink in. Right now I'm using Dr. Lara Devgan VITAMIN C+B+E FERULIC SERUM and it's by far the best I've tried. It sinks right in, isn't irritating but performs better than Drunk Elephant at its best and most fresh. One issue, it's $202.00 CAD. But I got a steal of a deal.

I recommend biosance vit C oil it feels so good on my skin! And for the price it lasts a long time and doesn’t sting my sensitive skin! I do like drunk elephant B Hydra and the new moisturizer bora bora and I liked the bestie and the cleansing balm. I don’t recommend the c firma… it burned my skin.. Bubble vit C serum Daydream works really well for me….so yes daydream and Biosance it’s 70 to 80$ but it lasts a long time. The other one was 18$

I was duped into believing that Drunk Elephant was the holy grail at cheaper price because Skincueticals sued them for copying the patented formula. I paid $80 and the serum was brown and tick and oily. I watched another reviewer educate that brown vitamin C serum means it’s oxidized and doesn’t work. Timeless was given great reviews with correct pH. I tried Timeless and it was clear as water, went on smooth, no tacky oily feeling. My only complaint about Timeless is the leaky pump but so was the Drunk Elephant pump. I’m never going to buy Drunk Elephant again.

Oh thank you so much- I should do some videos on it! I've been exercising a lot and changed a ton in my diet. I think the biggest thing was cutting out a lot of the sugar I was consuming. I also drank a ton of soda's and replaced that with water or a carbonated water called Bubbly. I think that helped the most. I walked/ran about five days a week this summer. I finally broke down and joined a gym for the winter - it gets so cold and icy outside so a gym seemed like a more enjoyable/safer option.

Have u tried the Peter Thomas Roth Ultimate 5 Solutions? I’m using it this winter for my freckles and dark spots it’s taken my skin to the next level it’s incredible! Kinda tricky with my Tretnoin but worth it last year I used the even smoother serum and it’s also incredible results for my dark spots🤍🤍🤍
