Ok so high quality invisibility cloaks are made out of woven demiguise hair, so I guess if you spin demiguise hair into a thread that would be what you would repair the cloak with. Cheaper cloaks are regular cloaks + disillusionment charm, so if you put that charm onto a regular thread you might be good as well. Note that Harry's cloak is of unknown material due to being a deathly hollow.

the cloak is made of demiguise fur in canon and the fur has the same properties of the animal, so you'd need to find a demiguise and spin thread from its fur.

hi all, so glad you dropped another team-up vid! thanks for all your amazing research and myth-busting, I've learned so much about garment construction AND history. The other day I was watching this show set in 1717*, and there was this neat bit of characterization through costuming that I'd never have noticed without your kickass channels - someone rocks up to party in an entirely purple outfit....in 1717....and my jaw dropped when I remembered aniline dyes weren't invented until 100 years+ later. I'm not sure how accurate the shade is to the period, but it's not mauve and never would've been allowed under the sumptuary laws of a few centuries prior, which actually deepens a lot of the show's themes. all in all, it was a fun scene in a fun show made even more delightful for having learned so much about fashion history through your wonderful channels. thank you for sharing your knowledge! *Our Flag Means Death, s1ep5 if you're interested. it's a really fun show, in any case.

My answer for the invisibility cloak question: Doesn't matter what kind- but you have to do any sewing and mending from the inside because the invisibility cloak renders whatever is under/inside of it invisible. "Ask me how I know" in response to the sleeves. That's an elder millennial who lived through some shit right there 😂😂😂 Mother, why did you put me in an Easter dress with Spanx and shoulder pads and... WHY ? If anyone asks why I like 18th century clothes it's because I'll never have to wear poly satin and lace ever again. 😂😂

The amount I just "yaaaaassss'ed" through the whole section about the 1790's being just the best because I am so freaking here for the 1790's!! It's so my jam and I just fully lean into the soft and rounded silhouette as a plus size costumer because my body is already soft and rounded and I can celebrate that ☺️

I feel like I'm in some alternative universe university town tavern, overhearing dress history professors trying to agree on the most random things and I love it.

This whole thing is #friendshipgoals. I feel like you would all be a blast to hang out with and I’d probably die of laughter and have the worst hangover in my life. I hope that we will still get to see you ladies hanging out even though you’ve moved. Thank you for sharing

This is the kind of chaos I can get behind. Some chaos is hard for me to watch but I was thoroughly entertained by this. For a brief 20 minutes I felt like I, in fact, do have my life together when I most certainly do not.

Saw a mallard duck with a green head yesterday and actually thought that same thought. The color!!! No wonder people wanted to use the feathers, there is almost a multi chrome reflection. Mesmerizing!!!!

To fix the cloak, you need to unpack a thread from the hem to use.

Ya’ll, can this please be a party/gathering/con panel/series at some future point. Drinking IRL with this trio doing Q&A would be a blast.
