I feel like there must be more behind this pigeon thing. He really focused on those pigeons... UPDATE: I just looked it up and apparently he actually did fall in romantic love with a pigeon. “I loved that pigeon as a man loves a woman, and she loved me. As long as I had her, there was a purpose to my life.”
@cherisarempe223911 ай бұрын
The pigeons were used for communication because he was being spied upon by the OSS which was the precursor to the CIA who had stayed in the hotel room by his at the New Yorker. He couldn't do anything without them knowing. It was a necessity that grew into a trustworthy reliable relationship.
@cherisarempe223911 ай бұрын
On another note, pigeons are actually highly intelligent and highly sociable animals, so it stands to reason he would prefer them over humans.

Except that Tesla didn't invent the radio or AC current.
@davidsykes658410 жыл бұрын
lol, you might want to recheck your facts, because if you think Marconi invented the Radio you're fooling yourself. Tesla didn't 'invent' AC, but he did invent the process to harness and deliver it.
@Thickcurves10 жыл бұрын
David Sykes "After learning of Hertz demonstrations of wireless transmission, inventor Nikola Tesla began developing his own system based on Hertz and Maxwell's ideas, primarily as a means of wireless lighting and power distribution.[12][13] Tesla, concluding that Hertz had not demonstrated airborne electromagnetic waves (radio transmission), went on to develop a system based on what he thought was the primary conductor, the earth.[14] In 1893 demonstrations of his ideas, in St. Louis, Missouri and at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, Tesla proposed this wireless power technology could also incorporate a system for the telecommunication of information."
@Thickcurves10 жыл бұрын
David Sykes You're talking about disputes over patents between Marconi and Tesla over cross Atlantic radio transmissions. Tesla did not invent the Radio. And while Tesla invented some motors for use of AC current... he did not invent either radio or AC electricity. Fucking educate yourself and stop buying into bullshit.
@Thickcurves10 жыл бұрын
Many people took Hertz's ideas and used it for short range radio transmissions before Tesla even became interested in the technology. You're wrong and you probably attribute many myths to Tesla like so many other fucking idiots who now nothing about him.
