Thank you so much for this. It soothed my mind and soul. So calming and beautiful.
The instrument name is SeTar (Se = 3 , Tar = string ) which is the grand father / progenitor to the Guitar which in the begining it’s name was KayTar ( Kay= king, Tar= string).
@homayoonnateghi26373 жыл бұрын
Sorry but I guess you are wrong. The instrument is Tambour because of the way of playing it and its sound. Setar is playing with only one finger nail. The "Magham" of this song was "Bayaat e Esfehaan" and the "dastgaah" of this is "Homayoon". I am a violin and Kemanche player and I also have 14 years experiences in concerts. Thanks.

You are an open minded human. I am Iranian and I am so happy tonight that a foreigner like you got interested in our music and culture. It is in your African DNA, the genuine expression of your feelings. Trust me; I have watched many reactions to variety of Persian music; but yours is something else. In Persian music, the player is suppose to enjoy his/her playing instrument. Although the translation was not so great; but, the subtitle helped . Spiritual music , beauty of language and poetry was the real enjoyment. Thing to remember: the Persian music , mostly is night time music. You are right; this particular piece should have had a Million hit. Keep working on it, You shall get there. You are the best Greetings from California.
