I'm not surprised you didn't get the knockback. The bouncy effect only applies to the last swing of a given combo, just like the elemental effects from elemental attacks from the charged, ember and frostbite armor sets. Meaning if you want a knockback effect from the balloon, you need to specifically time and distance the attack so only the last swing of your weapon (in this case a boomerang) actually hits. Although I'm curious how long it might last with a Forest Dweller weapon.

i was gonna say because after i died like immediately during the boss fight i went and farmed bomb arrows and ONLY used those. i think i only used Riju’s attack like 3 total times in the entire fight. not because it’s bad, i was just so scared that i kept firing bomb arrows nonstop (scared because i suck at boss fights)

Any elemental attack works on gibdos, not just lightning or water. It says that at some point in the game. I use a lot of fire arrows on them, because I have a lot more fire fruit than electric.

I still haven't seen anyone else mention this one yet but a couple months back I learned from a YT Short that whenever you're paragliding far distances high in the sky, you wear the full Glide suite armor & as you're flying forward with your paraglider like normal, press B immediately followed by X to quickly close & reopen your paraglider (B+X) while continuing ahead as normal & the result is you'll paraglide just a little bit faster than before but only while all three pieces of the glide armor is equipped. Not sure if it makes a difference or not but my suit was already fully upgraded when I first tried this. I know it might sound like a lot but it's actually really easy. I use this method regularly anytime I need to get to long-distant places as fast as possible & I preferably love using it in between waiting on Tulin's wind gust to reload. I've personally found this combo to be pretty efficient when paragliding long distance but the speed increase is kinda marginal & because I can't tell for sure by just looking I have the tiniest seed of doubt that maybe I might've been doing this all for nothing so I think it would be amazing if you could eventually test this method with proper recording & measuring in order to find out definitively if it's true & not just an illusion or placebo effect. All elements work on Gibdos. So Sidon works as well. In fact technically every sage except Tulin because Mineru can use any attachment however most elemental attachments can hurt Link so it's best to use water.

Per the question of can enemies use your devices, you only used rocket shields. There might be a specific block on that item. I'm curious to see if other combinations might work. If you give a muddle bud weapon to a bokoblin when the Hyrlue monster squad is engaged in a raid, will the muddle bud confuse YOUR allies? Can they use puffroom shields? Spring shields? Butter shields? Inquiring minds want to know!

The cooking-pot-on-an-arrow isn't something I was familiar with, but horriblin horns and/or lynel hooves work much the same way. Great for breaking rocks when you don't want to get up close or use explosives! Also, a good way to smash an enemy's rock armor.

You will find that using elements from a gleeok horn never stop working unlike a lizalfos or gems, meaning if you take a two handed weapon and spin it, it will keep on emitting the element until your stamina runs out.

The best way to break ore deposits is with the Mineru construct, even without any attachments. Actually, the construct works really well to travel through mud, lava, flowing sand etc. as well, as long as it doesn’t get too deep. Best part: If you know what to do, you can get it early game.

2 things here: -gibdos are vulnerable to pretty much all elements like fire, ice, water, electricity and light (dazzlefruits) -seen in number 3, they meant right after the great sky Island, so when you finish the tutorial and straight up dive into a chasm (i think this is true 'cus it was used in an early speedrun route)

One thing to note about the elemental Chus (not just electric), the same type elemental damage needs to kill them, not the actual projectile itself. If the fruit explosion kills them, they overcharge, so a direct hit won't work. It's easier to do with Chu jellies or gemstones due to the much larger AoE. Edit: it's also easier to do against the larger Chus due to having more HP; due to the projectile damage not instantly killing them (the small you used only has 1 HP, so the throw damage killed it, not the elemental damage that would have caused the overcharge).

If you want to use a one fan flyer try using the glitch railing piece for the right leg depot. You can get it if you use 2 sideways stabilizers though it takes a few tries to get. For the flyer the order is stearing strick fan railing

I have two myths. 1. If you attach two or more of the same zonaite devices together they will drain battery slower than if you were to use them separately. Take for example two fans. If you don't attach them to each other and activate them, they will drain battery quicker than if you were to attach the two and activate them. This doesn't seem to work if you use for example one fan and one flame emitter. 2. Spears deal less damage than displayed and claymores/greatswords deal more than displayed. This is a little difficult to test, but you can try this on a bokoblin. Take a spear and a claymore and a regular sword that show the same amount of damage and you'll see that the greatsword needs the least amount of hits to take the bokoblin down, meanwhile the spear needs way more than it should.

Wants some "mole mitts" that are nearly indestructible and will allow you to smash sediments and ore deposits easily? Fuse a Silver Lynel Mace Horn to your Hylian shield. It can break eventually, but it lasts a VERY long time and breaks sediments (even blue) and ores in one bash. Also makes a great "cheese" weapon. Great vids, BTW- Keep up the great work!

Gibdos are weak to any elemental damage, not just lightning. I believe this is actually stated early on when you do that regional phenomenon quest. This makes all of the Sages (except Tulin) rather useful, since all of them can deal elemental damage rather easily. You can also use just about any elemental fruit or monster part. I believe even explosives work, counting as fire damage, but I'm not certain since I've never had enough to want to try. Also, regarding the drop from a sky island to the depths, one of the sky islands with those tablets on them for that ancient language side quest (I believe all of the islands like this look like flowers, pointed out to you by the Sheikah painter guy), will collapse when you land on it to take a picture of the tablet. It is directly above a chasm and will fall right into the depths... Not far from the Gleeok's Den. It was fun when I found this out... Then I was terrified when I saw Gleeok's Den pop up on my screen while exploring because at the time, I did not have the weapons or skills to take on a Gleeok.

Yes explosives work. I've tested it. But not time bombs though however a cannon works. So does certain types of light but not a beam emitter. Dazzlefruit works too. Loading screen tips, compendium description, and npcs in the Gerudo region all say different elements work.

You can make a single fan hover bike by putting a fan on the ground facing down, then putting a steering stick on it at a 45 degree angle upwards. After that, put a railing part facing upwards at a 90 degree angle on the back of the fan. You can get the railing part from the right leg depot by attaching 2 stabilizers 90 degrees on the railing then activating them. Then attach something to it to save for autobuild. (yes, if you deattach the other object from it after autobuilding, it will stay.

For the arrow catching one... Try this. Be on the edge of a sky island. Shoot the arrow straight up. Wait for it to come down. Jump off and chase the arrow. Try and catch it as it falls, like you can do with star fragments and dragon parts. I wonder if that will work. Or if a projectile arrow is coded different than a static arrow you can pick up. I'm thinking it wont work. We dont get a prompt to take arrows as moblins miss. It's not until they hit the ground that they become objects to grab. Still, worth a test.

If you get the Yiga armor set and go to the Yiga hideout you get these training quests and the final reward is the Lightning Helm a replica of the Thunder Helm. It's tricky because the Yiga armor only has one point of defense each.

another thing: if ylou have a vehicle (even as simple as a cart, fan and steering stick) and you have yunobo, you will realsie he will activate on his own without you controlling him. If you have a boss like a hinox and you ride a vehicle while spamming A, you can do massive damage!

So i was messing around trying to get the best pictures i could for the compendium and found something interesting. Spoilers for a certain miniboss: If you take too long fighting a Phantom Ganon it will leave/despawn. I think you also need to be far enough away so he starts using his bow attack.

8:12 almost is the right word because it doesn‘t work with the hearts from elemental taluses. The wind attack even disappears. But the spinning attack becomes possible with this fusion. 10:22 Maybe it would work work with captain constructs if you give them a rocket that isn‘t already fused. 13:29 it also doesn‘t work with lizalfos tails.

The vehicule with one fan and control stick is work pretty well in low gravity like water temple!

I use fire on the Gibdo all the time. The only element I haven't tried is wind.

Wind has some effect on them but doesn't put them in weakened state. It can keep them at bay when swarmed by them while fighting Queen Gibdo in both the temple and the depths.

@@RyuuKageDesu Lol. I left something out. Wind just pushes them back I think. I don't normally use wind for combat so I haven't tested it directly. I think I just used Tulin's ability by accident lol. However it's better to use Sidon and Yunobo's abilities on them while you focus on the hives. While they're weakened the sages can beat them up for you. Sadly the sages don't stay by your side the whole time. Lol have fun chasing them.

A fun thing I use is an ice lizal tail on a boomerang and if you throw it along water or lava it makes tons of solid chunks and doesn't even use durability if it doesn't hit anything!

Octo Balloons add the bouncy property when fused to weapons. The only reason it didn't knock the enemy back was because it was a basic attack that doesn't apply knockback, instead only causing the enemy to flinch. Due to the balloon popping after the one hit, that hit would have to apply knockback to properly showcase its bouncy property. Try hitting an enemy with a spin attack or the final hit in a combo, as those attacks will knock enemies back.
