Finally bought a dehumidifier like this for our home in Vancouver Island, BC Canada. I am kicking myself for not getting it earlier -- reduces condensation in our room with single-pane windows, I am already seeing the reduction in window moisture and anticipate mold elimination! Will try for our clothes drying on hangers as well!

@@Russtopia it definitely helps a lot as I found out. What I now do is move it room to room based on where I need it. It’s probably been one of my best purchases ever I have to say. I can imagine it’s very cold where you are and great for getting rid of condensation and humidity. Thank you for watching.

Thank you for your review and explanation of how this works, I have just ordered this one and hope to get good results as we have no heating at the moment and everything is getting damp.

I live in a humid area and just purchased a larger unit. I decided to try to dry my clothes with it tonight. One load of shirts and light pants. I hung them on hangers on the shower rod. Shut the bathroom door. With it on high set at 40% humidity they were dry in about an hour. I couldn't believe it. It didn't heat up my house like my dryer would. It will save me so much on electric..

@@DiscoCatsMeow oh yes it definitely works. I was also skeptical at first but pleasantly surprised by the end. Glad it worked for you.

Hi what humidity number we need to set how does it work ? Do we have to set higher then the level in room or do we have to set lower then humidity in room ?
@sandeepraiphotography211111 сағат бұрын
@@shiz-m3k set it lower. I have min set to 50 which is perfect. I have also started to use it in bathrooms and kitchen and works great. Drains all the moisture and condensation.

Hi Sandeep. Would this method to dry clothes be more economical in terms of electricity consumption than a tumble dryer?
@sandeepraiphotography21114 ай бұрын
I think yes in a way but its difficult to directly compare it to a tumble dryer as that method gets the clothes dry in perhaps 30 mins or less. Where as with a dehumidifier, it would still take a lot longer but less than just hanging them there to dry. Although it will take a lot longer compared to a tumble dryer, I think it will be cheaper. Its a matter of how long you are willing to wait for the clothes to dry and will you have the patience. I leave it on for 4-5 hours which takes the moisture out, then it can dry quicker after that (indoors).
@DaChocapic17 күн бұрын
yes, significantly. I depend on which model of dehumidifier you get but to simplify they use a little bit of energy for a long time, while the tumble dryer uses a huge amount of energy for a rather short time. In the end, the dehumidifier is more economical (and also damages a bit less your clothes). But the counterside of this is that i can't dry you clothes in 2 hours, it needs more time
