I wonder if a liner could be made out of fabric like some sort of coated canvas or Teflon or something like that so that it's really strong and won't crack with the extremely low drop in temperature and it won't like tear or maybe just a hard liner made out of vulcanized rubber maybe? Oooh maybe you could have it in like a big container that's above your head where are you can open a hatch and it would just drop straight through so you don't have to dig anything into it to get the ice out. @Ashley-dy7bx3 жыл бұрын
Serious question, why not just use a pressure washer? The specific environment, cost, storage and set up required just to even start using dry ice seems to vastly out weigh the results. Don't get me wrong, the results are great but I personally don't think it's that far off a basic pressure washer. It's just seems unnecessary in my opinion, kind of like trying to find a solution to an issue that was never present.
@seanbond10083 жыл бұрын
99.9% of people will use a pressure washer. This is an insanely expensive and overly complicated method and there's no need for $100,000+ worth of equipment to do what a pressure washer and $200 worth of labor with a sponge can accomplish. Okay cool, the machine removed a sticker off the wheel a few seconds faster than can be accomplished by hand. Worth 120k? Nah.

Interesting to see the hand methods combined with the blasting. Is there any recommendation to perform traditional cleaning methods prior to the blasting services?Maybe get a majority of the heavy stuff off with a pressure washer or by hand and then finish with blasting?
@ScottAles3 жыл бұрын
I did that originally back in 2019. But after getting soaked and spending so much time cleaning up after that, this method became much easier. The principle is to remove all abrasive elements from the car before starting any hand work. One small rock or piece of sand can be very problematic. Thanks for the comment!

@ScottAles3 жыл бұрын
Episode #1 can provide you more details. The fundamentals are this... * 108 degrees negative causes things to contract and loose their adhesion. * The solid CO2 particle sublimates to a gas upon impact which is a thermal reaction or, a miniature explosion. It is not abrasion that removes the dirt like using sand or any media. * The high volume of air ( up to 125 cfm) wisks the dirt away. Yes, the dirt ultimately is atomized then gravity takes it to ANY horizontal surface nearby. But mostly, the ground.
