Funny I saw that same video last week. That totally works guy’s. Did a lot of commercial concrete work in my 20’s. You folks did a fine job . Looks fantastic. Glad ya decided to make a thick slab. Smart. Jason wondering if it would be worth having all those bags delivered rather than bust your back up hauling it . That’s a lot of bags 😳😳

I did this exact thing on my elevator pad years ago. It works incredibly well and it's held up as well as wet poured. Also gives you a surface with fantastic traction. I set my fence posts with dry as well. FYI- kneel on a 3 long x 2 foot wide board-keeps your knees and toes out of the cement= far less work refilling holes. Work smarter, not harder is my moto :) Excellent video. I really love that barn!

Now I know how I'm going to do the 2nd half of my shed floor! Spent $1650 on a crew to pour and finish the concrete on the 1st half. I did all the dirt removal, 5inch rock base leveling and put the forms down. It was Priced for them to do all that for $4500. But, since I did the hard work, it was just the pour and finish for them. It was a 19 x 22 foot area. The concrete, 6 yards of 4500 psi with fiber was almost $800. Now I can figure out how many bags I need to do it like you did. I still have 1/4 area with some dirt to yet remove and get some more rock down for the base. Spring/Summer Project. Still need to finish the Greenhouse and put rock down in the Leanto addition I added to the south outside of the shed. It will be my fire wood curing and storage area. Lots yet to do for this 71 yr old DIY'er. Be Blessed y'all! God Is Good!

You don’t have to have forms on the outside to get a consistently level surface. You could lay 2x2s at your 1/4 lengths (2.5’&7.5’), run the board across to get level, then remove the boards. Then it’s just a little extra material placement in the 2x2 voids. Paver contractors do this for leveling the sand layer under pavers.

Let's run though the list. 1. No gravel. 2. No reinforcement. 3. No form. 4. No breathing filters. 5. No eye protection. 6. Too thin considering no gravel or reinforcement. This is great as long as no one ever touches it and it doesnt freeze. Great work.

I'm having a hard time breathing just watching your video. Have your wife hold a pillow over your face. That will give you a indication of what the end of your life will be like. If you can't do a project right, don't post it. You're showing a bad example to so many other young people who don't think they will be affected by all of that dust.
