Hello, I'm looking for external pump. And look gears vs gerotor. For you, the gear type pump can go up to 10,000 rpm on a 2-litre turbo? I saw that the porsche gt3 was also gears style with rpm 9000. Thank you for your opinion

I need help i am running a 4 stage weaver pump on my race boat , i am running it off my flywheel which would be backwards from what most people run them off the front of the motor , My issue is i am getting way to much oil pressure and i did adjust the pressure screw and didn't do anything , i think it's all plumed wrong where i am not getting any scavenge oil back to the tank , I just need to know if i have it turning correctly and what hosses go where .

Pumps typically run clockwise, I verified my flow direction by running the pump with a drill and moving water. From there, I decided where my scavenge lines would go along with feeds.

If your pump is running in reverse direction it won't be picking up oil on the scavenge side. It will be trying to blow back in. The pressure side also turning in reverse means that your pressure adjustment bypass is being fed backwards. Rather than the oil pushing on the spring loaded bypass piston and opening it. It is pushing on the back side of the piston, where the piston can't open to relive pressure. Set up an idle gear between your flywheel and pump, that will reverse your pump rotation to clockwise. Also ensure your pump rpm is about half of your engine rpm. Example: if your flywheel has 150 teeth, your oil pump would need a 75 tooth gear on it
