Hi Beautiful! You create the best product reviews hands down. Both seem to work well but If I am made to chose based on this video I would go for Amika! Thanks for sharing my friend! Have a great week! x

Thank u for such a good review! I also have course hair so I wanted to see how these two compared. I'm usually a drybar fan, but u said that the amika one gripped ur hair better. So definitely an important detail. Thanks so much!

Thanks, I’ve been looking at these. I can’t tell much of a difference in sides! Both look great. I did read some reviews on Amika of people saying it broke after 2-3 months of use.

Same! I never use hot tools and I never colored my hair yet it looks damaged! So now I’m like screw it 😆 I’ll start using hot tools since it looks damaged either way 🤣

Is there a difference in the loudness of the dryers? Also the shapes of the brushes looked a bit different from the top. Would you suggest one over the other for shorter hair (shoulder length)?
@herliekim3 жыл бұрын
The amika brush definitely has the louder sound. The drybar is a lot more subtle. For this comparison, drybar is a little thinner and longer whereas amika is a couols millimeters short and wider.

What’s your hair type?
@heymariat3 жыл бұрын
@@herliekim I have fine, wavy hair... but a lot of it! I currently have the revlon dryer brush, but I notice it is very hot and loud. Doing some more searching on the dry bar a lot of people have said your note about the bristles but also that the protective yellow caps come off. I’m leaning towards the Amika now, though the shape of the dry bar was intriguing!
@herliekim3 жыл бұрын
@@heymariat oh yes! The Amika has a low heat setting that is unique from the rest. ☺️ At first, the temp. Brush knob is really stiff and hard to turn but itll get looser after a couple use. Just a fee pointers. 😉
@whippetgood4 жыл бұрын
Do they vary in terms of temperature? I’m leaning towards the drybar bc I know it doesn’t get too hot, but if the Amika is similar in that regard then I think you’ve sold me on it! My hair is very fine so I try to use the lowest heat setting as possible. Thanks!
@herliekim4 жыл бұрын
Amanda W hi Amanda! If your hair is fine then I would suggest going for drybar. It just didn’t work well for me coz I have really thick, coarse hair and the bristles are way too soft. 😊
@jessicabhatnagar94052 жыл бұрын
@@herliekim yeah I don’t think you answered her questions about the temp difference
@herliekim2 жыл бұрын
@@jessicabhatnagar9405 Oh yes I did. I mentioned dry-bar for her type of hair as she is already aware that it doesn’t get too hot as compared to Amika.
@Tanya-wc8yv3 жыл бұрын
Hello. Thank you for the video. Here my question: what about the heat in Amika - is it too hot and can lower temperature settings do the work on your hair? Thanks.
@herliekim3 жыл бұрын
you can definitely lower the heat seatting to low, medium and high heat. ❤️
@jennyakhara78513 жыл бұрын
btw if you look at the top of your hair you will see the amika side showed the hair more elevated which means more volume

Do either of these work to straighten wavy hair?
@herliekim4 жыл бұрын
Yes! I would suggest getting the Amika one coz it has more grip for wavier and thicker hair. 😊 a little thing though is that the rotating know is kind of harder to turn on the first use.
