You reference the dryer as being "not old" and a "fairly new dryer." It's older than you think, looks like from the 1990s. The model/serial tag is beside the door latch. The model number is coded for the year of market introduction. The serial number is coded for the year and month of factory production, some models may be produced for longer than one year. Model coding is a different syntax than serial coding. Both repeat on a recurring pattern. The recurring pattern must be interpreted to the machine's aesthetic appearance to determine the correct timeframe. Search for the coding online to figure it out. Or cite the model and serial in a reply, I can decode it for your reference of the correct age.

@@DADoESofTX thank you. Interesting. I purchased it "new" from a major appliance outlet in 2022 before my tenant moved in. So I assumed that was the age of the unit. But Thank you for the info. I'll look into it.
