Great job on the video! I always wondered what metals could be salvaged from the various appliances that breakdown over the years! You must be farther north of Kentucky to still have ice on the ground! Where are you anyway? Keep the video’s coming!🎉

Thanks, I’m located in Northern Utah up by the Idaho boarder. Still getting more snow today!

Nice. I got a few dryers recently, that had copper motors. That would up the stakes, probably.

I was hoping for a copper motor. Maybe on the next one!

Did the metal value even cover the cost of the propane? Should have just scrapped it as it was.
@MakingBullions00910 ай бұрын
On average most melts cost around $3 to $4 for propane. It doesn’t help the bottom line. But I am not selling my homemade ingots, I do it because I like too. It’s best to just sale the scrap if you are maximizing for profits.

Nice video! 1st 👍 I like the idea! I know that time/space would be an issue, but I would like to see more of these, but more so items vs. themselves. So you've had a glass top range, so now an electric and gas to see which of the 3 is the best. Could do fridge series, too, I think. Old school freezer/fridge, newer fridge/freezer, french door style and french door with ice maker in door. Older washing machine vs. newer agitatorless washing machine. Just some ideas for ya.

Thanks for the ideas! I like these suggestions!

The second dryer could of been fixed it is just the heating element that goes bad. Which cost pennies. My friend just fixed them and sells them. Worth more than scraping.

I picked it up from my repair guy, it had more issues than the heat element. If they work or can be fixed I usually resale the item. Definitely worth more!

The last time I scrapped a dryer, I found $7 in change inside
