I have never seen a Quran in my entire life, I don't even know where I can find a version of it in portuguese since it is my first language and I don't speak Arabic, and I don't really trust the internet for that, so... I understand why you say it but so far I have watched some very interesting documentaries and videos about it and I'm finding it amazing! The thing that most people in the comment are not understanding is the fact that we all know Bollywood and hollywood movies are haram. But no one says its Islamic or watches them for religious reasons whereas many people think Ertugrul is Islamic show when it has haram in it. If you watch for entertainment then that's something else but dont watch it thinking its islamic. Would you as a muslim watch a islamic lecture by a sheikh with Music playing, you wouldn't would you even though you already probably listen to music. Although the show is most definatley Haram, it's a matter of not mixing haram with islam and then thinking its religious which is what the show does by having constant music and free mixing.

Ive been watching Ertaghul Ghazi because my family watches while at dinner table on KZbin. Mutt family does pray 5x a day. I don't see anything haram or objectionable in it. The director and writer had to be realistic so that it could connect with the people otherwise the purpose of making such a historical series would be lost. I think we must be little flexible. Otherwise people will be disgusted and feel confined.

Last time I watched any full-length movies when I was flying from the UK to BD and after that, I didn't intend to watch any movies. May be some clips come in front of me and I watched but intentionally I didn't sit for watching any full-length movies after that. This Ertugrul is not a drama it is a 80-85% authentic history based telling us how Ottomon empire formed and the defending Muslims against Mongolian and the crusaders and even the enemy writhing the same tribe at that time as i said 80-85% authentic history's however the historian in Turkey also criticised that the women's hijab in the movie does not reflected the women at that time because the women at that time used to have full hijab unlike the movie part of their hair neck ears are open. In Ertugrul time The Turks was living n practicing the religion to the highest standards and working to raise the eelai kelimatullah so many non Muslim converted to Islam. Beside it's not only backed by Erdoğan backed by 99% of Turkish in 🇹🇷 of course listening to the holy Quran is better than watching anything but I am watching Ertugrul and I love it. It's not easy to get rid of addictions at all. It needs time. I had times when I used to watch 4-5 haram movies a week. I noticed that whenever I was ready to pray to Allah, the meaningless/haram movie scenes in my mind would disturb me. Then I reduced watching movies to 1 a week, then 1 a month. Now, I really don't have any interest at waching movies. Still sometimes, maybe 1 a month or maybe not, I watch thriller/detective series in youtube (I had addiction to mystery solving, still I have) and I lower my eyes if I see or about to see womens. And, most detective series I watch have less haram contents which I avoid. It takes time to get rid of any kind of addiction. I will get rid of current situation too.

As long as a movie does not promote extreme violence, sexual abuse or anything illegal, it should be good to go and good to watch..also there is a bifurcation of 18+ and non 18+, A rated movies and all...having normal music or dance and women not in hijab doesn't make any difference...any scientific reason behind you lowering your eyes when women come on screen? What matters is your respect towards them, lowering your eyes is not the only way of showing respect..even if you talk eye to eye with them, it instills confidence and connection...what is the scientific rationale behind lowering your eyes while talking to a woman? It is not necessary to see her breasts in real for unleashing your sexual feeling, it's enough by seeing her sexy body structure. Whether sexual feeling arise in you or not, still you respect a Woman. You can't mix up your sexual feeling with respect when you see a sexy lady. If you leave non-Muslim girls/Woman, even most Muslim girls now-a-days wear dresses which unleashes their Physical structure and they say, "Oh, this is Hijab!". But no! they don't know the meaning of Hijab. True Hijab is not like most girls wear. And, brother, in terms of Pornography, do you know how Pornography affects human brain? Slowly, it creates a bad sexual feeling in you and unstable you mental health and it makes you to commit sexual misbehaviour with a girl (anyone) because your mental health becomes unstable. The same answer I gave to one of my friend who was saying Ertugrul is haram. Watching Ertugrul is haram, But if you are stuck into hollywood/bollywood movies and series, its better to watch Eartugrul instead. Ertugrul series has mixing, music, non hijabi females, hugs but atleast its better than watching women who are showing their body/ half naked or any intimate scenes!
