Thanks so much for sharing these videos! I order lots of the later collections from MPI, but I find myself coming back to the earlier ones time after time.

+butchboy13 I hate it when actors "ham it up" and over-react --makes the character much less believable. It's surely a "jump the shark" moment for many an aging series.

Geesh, Maggie, this is the third time you have handed out freebies! Is that restaurant making ANY money? And where the hell is the manager, between the freebies and your extended breaks, why haven't you been canned yet? :D

+atlantic 11561 I was wondering where is the hotel manager, LOL

Dorothy Johnson Interestingly, he WAS shown a few times, and he was played by none other than the late Conrad Bain (from "Maude" and "Different Strokes" fame). He was always depicted as a lazy and somewhat irresponsible manager (Bain did a terrible Maine accent!). He appeared in a few of the earliest episodes of Dark Shadows, fell out of sight for a long time from the show, then returned years later, only to have his character killed off by the Werewolf!

Yeah, I almost didn't recognize him and yes, his accent was horrible, LOL What did you think of The Blue Whale? Some hangout spot, eh?

Interesting how the Burke character can be so touchy-feely towards the women characters and yet not come across as at all licentious.

In the end, I was a bit disappointed with the ultimate fate of Victoria. The implication always was that Elizabeth had given birth to her as the result of an affair, though the identity of the father was never revealed. (Was it Ned Calder, the former company manager who wanted Elizabeth to marry him?) But the scenario of Victoria being transported back in time and to then be hung as a witch was rather a letdown. The implication was that this had been her reality, and that she was somehow reincarnated or transported into 1966.
