The action sequences in season 6 alone were good on the small screen imagine the defiant on the big screen(yes we saw her briefly in first contact) would have been brilliant

When I watch Deep Space Nine I always do it from front to back, each and every episode in order. So that when I reach the end of this episode and the trumpet plays and the station shrinks into the distance, I'm as traumatised as I was the very first time I saw it. And despite calls from others to make a movie or some kind of continuation I'm one of the few who say...."No more. Let it be. Every story has an ending." And this ending is the best of all the series.....so far. 😉

The lack of words between Kira and Jake in the last moments of the series...damn the feels. O’Brien leaving for Earth, Worf leaving for Kronos, Sisko going MIA with the Bajoran Prophets after killing Dukat and Odo leaving to become a Founder. Fuck me Ds9s finale was heartbreaking.

So so sad that Deep Space Nine reached its season seven end. It got one of the most memorable endings ever, and it was never to receive a movie, or even a bit part in anything after.

The final scene in DS9 did what few shows manage to do, set the stage for more after the final fade to black, and it did it very well.

hand to heart, the ending of DS9 was one if not the most emotional, touching and off rounding ending of a series that I ever watched. Seeing how the dominion war ended after all the seasons, having all the flashbacks of the characters of the events over the whole series. Seeing Odo say goodbye to Kira, Bashir and Garak stand on the ruins of Cardassia Prime, or O'Brien clean up the quartier, packing for departure and holding the little toy soldier to see all the memories of him and Bashir being friends... It was awesome Thanks DS9 for enriching my childhood

The trumpeter's use of vibrato is commendable. But I am also very impressed with Dennis McCarthy's compositional work, which was unfamiliar to me until I started listening to DS9 videos here.

Just finished watching this show 5 days ago. Took 8 months to watch with my dad every weekend. This music paired with the flashbacks and the pan of the station is soo emotional. Felt like crying when jake was longing for his dad when the wormhole opened.

I was really pissed when they didn't honor Jadzia with an Flashback. And its kinda sad they didn't make a All Series/Cast-Movie with all 3 TNG-Crews (TNG, DS9 and VOY). Such a wasted potential.

Also, there is only one flashback of worfs which had jadzia in. Probably done to show how he started to move past her. But i do agree that a set of flashbacks for her would have been a great addition

There was supposed to have been an all-series movie but it was scrapped after Nemesis flopped. It would have been cool to see a better send-off for the TNG crew, and see the Enterprise docked at DS9 with Voyager. Regarding Jadzia's lack of flashback, the producers wanted to but couldn't resolve something with the actress's rights and money.

I love TNG, and ting will probably always be my favorite... but DS9s episodes.... are always amazing.... TNGs best we’re amazing but every DS9 episode was consistently amazing.... and there were always the hard hitting ones

Thank the prophets DS9 never got a movie. It would have just been another generic piece of crap action flick like TNG got saddled with over and over. Can you even imagine? Pointless "revamped" aesthetic, endless explosions, Sisko dropping cheesy one-liners, etc. It would have made a mockery of what the show was all about. Instead, it ended on its own terms. Melancholic, introspective, bittersweet, hopeful......beautiful. A perfect coda.

This brings to mind the musical piece from the pilot called "Passage Terminated." You can hear it when Sisko was teaching the Prophets about linear time. It's also on the pilot soundtrack CD. It would've made for a nice end title theme and an excellent follow-up for this theme instead of the jarring, brassy DS9 end title.
