I am a web developer, I was recently asked a question in an interview from a remote company outside India. The question was- You are given a number 'n', convert all numbers in range 0 to 'n' into 32-bit value and get number of matching bits 'b' in between every 2 consecutive 32-bit numbers, then sum up all values of 'b' and print the sum. After reading the question I was like dude who asks to convert numbers in to 32-bit values in web development? Regretfully I was not able to solve it as I didn't know the formula to convert a number into 32-bit value. I have met some engineers from MAANG as well, they themselves say that DSA rounds are mostly elimination rounds to eliminate most of the crowd applying for the position whereas the usage of DSA is very less in any real application

​@@HimanshuSingh-vn7ns If you are in 2nd year, then that is a good sign because you have a lot of time. Managing DSA with ECE is not a problem. The real difficulty is managing Developement with ECE since you need a good grasp of both CS and ECE subjects for development and passing semesters. Watch Harry's DSA course for the basics and then once you finish it, start solving problems every day for atleast 2 hours. Then move to other complex problem sheets. And always keep on developing projects in upcoming domains.

I used to know him from 1st year so I talked to him about his needs and he needed a web developer. So I interned there. The other two internships I got from Linkedin. Just applied with Resume and had interviews. Also, finding materials for CS subjects is comparatively easier than ECE subjects. Technical courses from Harkirat singh, kunal kushwaha. Love babbar is also great for beginners.

Just do DSA . As a fresher you can learn web dev in just 2 month . To become an intermediate you need 3-4 months and to get a job 5-6 month is enough but DSA is for long run . Just do DSA . You will eventually learn its importantance

I have ~10 years experience in IT industry and have worked/working in couple of MAANG companies as Backend eng. How much DSA is asked differs a lot by company to company. DSA is used mostly for the first filtering process in most companies. If you fail that interview there will be no further rounds. In general Google asks the most(and toughest) DSA questions, and others asking easy-medium questions (everything except DP, complicated graphs & trick questions).
