Part of daily operations for the Danish State Railways: coupling and decoupling at stations during passenger service.
In this video we see an EMU IR4 (Litra ER 2101) arriving at Copenhagen Central Station and decoupling on the go from the attached DMU IC3 (MF 5279)
Among other things, the interesting fact of these trainsets is that the flat rubber-contoured face actually opens when the trainsets are coupled so that passengers can easily move from one unit to the other. The train driver seat and control panel are attached to the front and collapse together to make room for the front to open.
The decopling operation is announced by the train driver to the train conductor sitting in the driver's cab in the back unit. The train conductor accepts the the decoupling , which releases the hook and splits physically the trainsets. The rubber sealings are then re-inflated during the halt to continue the journey.

Decoupling in motion in easy, coupling would be more of an issue ;)

What? Without stop? This technic is very strange. Normally the decoupling is in stop, but in movement, and more, at low speed...

The driving-cab front of these trains folds back when the trains are coupled so passengers and train staff can move across trainsets. This is pretty peculiar of DSB operation, and will not be possible with new rolling stock due to TSI and safety issues in case of crash. As long as these trainsets will be operating, this coupling and decoupling will be a matter of daily operations in several stations in Denmarl, as you can couple together up to 5 trainsets with different destinations

It's was done to make it quicker to board the former train ferries over the Great Belt, because they could only fit two units on each track while trains was often 3-4 units long. The unit(s) being decoupled will immediately emergency brake, because there is no longer an active cab, to avoid hitting the other unit. So it can be a bit rough with the hard braking if you are standing up in these units.
