You have to watch the weight and added friction so you don't overload the clutch. I added just longer and heavier string and I almost melted the at the clutch assembly.

Drill large holes in the disc to remove weight. Make it spin easier.

Absolutely, this puts way too much stress on the little motor this way too.

Many do online. Forester is one. I couldn’t find a store in my area that does yet though. I’m impatient and don’t want to wait for shipping though need it now. So may try this but worried about not getting it perfect balance without a lathe.

Smart concept but very dangerous on a tool that has poor bearings & etc. for all that kinetic energy it will come apart one of these days possibly kill you.
