I love them 2 minute to 5 minutes bone ribs to get the flavor that rendered throughout the meat. You timed them better than me . Hands down wonderful job .

You got it. It may be about a month out as I did apply it after the cook but it was too dark outside. I was too lazy to drag my lighting downstairs. I’ll make sure to video on the next application. Thanks

Dski, I have workhorse 1975T. I’ve been making my fires closer the door. It seems that the temperature gauges are more accurate without a huge temperature difference from the top shelf verses bottom shelf.

That's awesome intel John. I haven't fire up the 19785 in over two months. I've been using my Ole Hickory and Lone star trailer pit due to large catering events. I will definitely give this a shot. Thanks again.

Great video! Love John Henry's Pecan Rub. I just ordered some more. How are things going with the Work Horse Pits? I'm looking at getting the 1957 in the near future.
@DskiGrillz5 ай бұрын
@@kimandjasoninflorida It’s going well this pit is amazing! Having it now for over a year or so, it is a pleasure to cook on because i know truly understand how to set up the fire, regulate the temps, and enjoy the awesome final results. you cant go wrong! I would definitely move forward with the purchase of the 1957. If you do so, let me now how it goes. Take care.

i have been having trouble keeping my 1969w steady at 250 degrees. seems like i am constantly having to use a leaf blower to get the fire stoked back up. i normally do some lump charcoal and once those have burned down i will add a split or two and then start my cook. but after catching and closing down the lid and walking away, it seems like most of the time the wood is not burning that well and more smoldering at times. i will try this set up going forward to get my coal bed going and see if that helps. i have a moisture meter and i know the wood is in a good range. the food still comes out great but i feel i am working harder to maintain the temps then i should be. thanks for showing your setup in the video!

Hi brother awesome video would you buy the same pit if you could go back compared to a millscale or the other equivalent pits on the market??? I'm leaning towards the 1975 but haven't made up my mind yet
@DskiGrillz Жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late response. I would definitely make this purchase again. I have no regrets as this smoker cooks like a dream plus you cannot not beat the 3/8" inch construction as opposed to the standard high in thickness of the competitors of 1/2". Heat retention on this smoker is awesome! Great questions.

Working on an outdoor living space for the past two years. I've only gotten as far as pouring the slab though. I want it to be really nice and currently the gazebo for the space is right at 20 grand. Still waiting...lol

Those Ribs came out looking amazing, I love that 1975. How would you compare those Work Horse Pit Ribs to your Gateway-Drum Ribs?
@DskiGrillz2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I still haven't had ribs taste better than on the Gateway drum smoker. The grease hitting those coals and infusing flavor back into the ribs is unmatched from my perspective.
@JarrodBbq272 жыл бұрын
I totally agree, we're in love with our Gateway and love cookin on our Drums, and the BBQ they produce, but, I really think we need one of those 1975's ha!

Great looking rib Dski. I've been looking into getting an offset and I think I am between a workhorse or a LSG. If you had to get one, which would you go with? I k kw you have the LSG trailer.
@DskiGrillz2 жыл бұрын
Tough choice Jerry. This is why I’m glad i was able to get them both..lol. If I had to chose I would probably go with the LSG. The trailer pit is so easy to cook on that its unreal. It just holds temps so well that it’s hard to match it. The workhorse pits is a close 2nd with the 27” firebox and 3/8” inch thickness. From a price standpoint the Workhorse pits is definitely a better value. Hope this helps Jerry.
@jerrytaylor26102 жыл бұрын
@@DskiGrillz thanks for the info. Yeah, I'm looking at a LSG 24x40 or 42. They are a couple K more than the workhorse. Saving up for one, guess it depends on how patient I am lol. Thanks again and love the videos.

Dski, i'm looking at the 1975 wagon and wondering how well it moves over grass on those wheels. Could you (theoretically) get it up your back yard or is that a potential runaway freight train? Keep up the great work!

It rolls over terrain very well but if you get some momentum it could be a task to slow down. the handle does wonders with navigation though. Hope this helps!
