Fantastic video, we'll explained. The only thing I could think of to make it better would be to do a wide angle shot from above the overlay with all the parts that you're using, to clearly illustrate the diagram in real life

Hello Yannic, that's the best Video about Cameratrapping I have ever seen.

@yannicmattphotography

Thank you for the Video. Interesting. I started cameratrapping last year after a few years with trailcameras. I got Wolfpictures, but not Lynx yet. I only got Lynx in my trailcameras. I have gear from Camtraptions. My wideos with trailcameras are in KZbin as ” Skogen berättar”. Thank you for a nice video.

I would lovw to know how you program your trigger with the switches. Ive used the PIR V2 many times but ive just purchased the V3 and im having trouble with the sensor triggering the camera as well as the two flashes. Thank you so much!

Hey, great Video! I am currently wanting to build my own camera trap, but don't have the money for a camtraptions PIR sensor. I have a Nikon d3300, one Nikon SB-28 with connection cable, tripod, housing, and I have just purchased the PIR HC-SR501 sensor and an optocoupler. Unfortunately, I have absolutely no know-how regarding those electronics, but those were the main parts for a sensor, as far as I could research. As I just want to start and don't need any custom code for my first test camera trap, I wanted to ask whether I need any more parts for my PIR sensor and how to connect the sensor to the camera (what cables). If anyone here could help me, that would mean a lot to me, as I am urging to capture the wolves that are in my area currently, but don't have the money to buy a camtraptions sensor and therefore want to build my own. (answer can also be in German :))
